Modify LG firmware to report as Samsung MS25

hi guys,

i have to replace a Samsung MS25 drive with a Hitachi-LG 046 drive.

i have put right key in the LG firmware, now i have to modify firmware to report as MS25, to avoid error E66.

what have i to hex-editing?

i have a willem programmer to write modified FW onto original eeprom, so flashin isn't a problem

Well....you have to get Xtreme 4.2 update and choose which firmware you want then run the file you want so the drive appears as xxx to the 360.  Get it from #xbins on IRC (server is efnet - you will need an IRC client and an FTP client), once you have it read the read me file, you'll understand it better than I can type it :p

The correct information on how to patch in the necessary changes can be found in the E66 thread. Just search for E66 in here and there should be a post by garyopa explaining how to patch these changes.
