hello i have a samsung ms25 and 4.2 firmware.  i noticed something strange after dl a free picture pack from the marketplace.  right before it started to dl the picture pack i noticeed my center led on xbox was flashing fast like when its firmware is being read any ideas or anyone else notice this... im sure they have some system check is this it...

I am not real sure but until somone confirms that this is happening I wouldn't worry about it to much.  If Microsoft is doing on the fly Mode-B and checks of the firmware I am sure one of our great hackers will be able to exploit it soon enough.. Don't worry about it...

I seriously doubt they'd manage to get a samsung drive into hitachi's mode B.

not really saying mode b but i know when the firmware is being dumped or flashed on a samsung the center light flashes

Bad thing if they can...good thing for us that no longer want to open our 360's.  This would mean flashing through RJ-45, like remote CMOS flash on MB's.  <---I have done this countless times on IBM servers and desktops.  I just wish there was a way to packet sniff like in nag or nag2 on the stream.
