Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I thought it was the appropriate one..anyway my question is can I use standard leds (not SMD) on the Xbox 360's Ring Of Light?  I used (and pretty much everyone else) 3mm leds (2 legs not 3, and only 1 led not 2) on the original Xbox...this should work correctly right?
Any help appreciated !!

i dnt know bout da ring of light......still have to take apart dat board......but for sure not the one right underneath the power button....dats a SMD.........ill find out soon.......

i also did the LED mod on da eject button of da xbox1, also modded da controllers.....put same color LEDs in them....

Yeah been a while about this thread but came across it and thought I would reply, I sucsefully did the changing of the ring of light colour from green/red to blue:D  I used some 0603 Blue SMD leds, I bought them from jaycar (for anyone else who lives in Australia - part number ZD202) Wink
