Firstly, make sure you have the correct key. The key should be 16 Bytes (32 Character) and can be found (using a Hex Editor) around the region 00004ef0-00004f00 (or it was on my original 47 firmware anyway). You'll notice that all the characters in the 00004xxx region in your orig.bin are 'ff' except for the 16 Bytes (32 Characters) in the regions above - This is your key.

Secondly, open up a raw dump of the Hitachi Firmware which are found on the net (I now use a 59 firmware), and paste your key from your orig.bin file into the 'blank' region in the raw dumps (filled with '00' on the line 00004f00). You can then save this file, encrypt with Firmcrypt and you're ready to flash back.

As for the Willem, in the software you need to go to 'Device'>'Flash 29/39/49Fxxx'>'39/49Fxxx'>'39SF/49F020
(P.S: then set the jumpers on the programmer as you see them displayed on the screen otherwise the flash ROM wont be detected properly and won't flash).

You could, but I had limited success with KDX so that's why I did it manually (and at least then you know it's done 100% properly)...

If you'd like, if you send me your orig.bin, i'll prepare you a new v59 firmware file ready to upload back to your drive with your correct key in the right location (completely your decision of course)  Smiley

There is nothing wrong with your keys or firmware toolbox... when I open it gaves me 16 hex bytes (32 numbers)

here they are:

<KEY SENT BY EMAIL>

Try copy these keys on new firmware and crypt it.
