Hi there!

After a week wandering French, English, Italian, Spanish and German forums, I decided to get my Hitachi-LG 47D drive flashed and to try backing up my very first xbox 360 game.

- I get the Xecuter connectivity kit V2 to connect my Hitachi-LG drive to my PC using a Sata Cable and Debug mode (WinXP recognized it)
- I flashed the Firmware using Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth
- I introduced my original game DoA4, and using the GETSS.EXE tool provied within the Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth package, I've extracted the ss.bin
- I've installed isobuster and set the settings as asked in Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth NFO
- After about 2hours reading the disc  Shocked , the image was made (though isobuster warned me of a read errors report, I guess this is normal)
- I put the game.iso and ss.bin in the subfolder Xbox360 of the Isobuilder, as asked in the Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_3_Stealth NFO
- I used build360.bat to reassemble the image (I guess this step re-inject the SS.bin)
- I tried to burn the game with CloneCD but crashed after 29%
- I tried a new burning installing Imgburner and reading how to set it in a tutorial. Everythnig seemed to be ok with the Pioneer 108 FW 1.20, Verbatim DataLifePlus DvD+R DL, up to 4X (I read it is better to burn at 4X than 2.4 when you have Hitachi-LG drive)
- Last but not least! I tried my Backup... and what a surprise! I got this nice and funny message:

" If you wan't to play this disc, put it in an xbox 360 consoleHuh

I've tried and retried, but nothing to do (Original games works)

What is wrong with my method? What should I have done, or not?

Thank you for any help

Hi there Smiley

That's what I wanted to do first, but i'm not sure if I can read an original game in Xbox Backup Creator using my Hitachi Drive connected to my PC with Sata cable and Connectivity Kit V2 to set it in debug mode (or maybe should I let it in original mode?)

When I put the game in it I have a warning in XBC:

This message doen't give me the will to go on Smiley But maybe this is just a stupid message that won't dammage my backup?

Well, my real question is:

does Xbox Backup Creator support the Hitachi-LG drive to create backup games?

The current firmwares for the Hitachi don't correctly unlock the game files for backup purposes,
you will need to hot-swap and use wxripper, or wait for the next release of the firmware which
will fix this bug plus add more features, etc.

Hi Garyopa!

And first of all, thank you for taking part in this post and for all the good job you did so far!

Thank you for your advice. I'll try the Wxripper method, and wait impatiently for the next release of the Hitachi Firmware. Creating everything with Xbox Backup Creator will be much easier!

Thank you once again for your piece of advice!

Gabe.
