I want to congratulate to all participants that have contributed into making hack possible. And I understand that you don't want to release hack to public. But... I live in poor country where we work for 100-150 Euros monthly salary. And just buying XBox 360 is like bying car in some rich country... And buying a game for 60EUR is insane... So if there is no way to play backed up games I can never afford original games... I feel so sad...  Edit: I Actually have XBox 360 and i have gived my 2 years savings for it... its still unpacked because im going to sell it... i cant afford original games. |

you are not talking about backups, you are talking about piracy. not having money isn't an excuse to steal software. you don't just steal a ferrari cause you can't afford to buy one either, or do you?

OK, here is another newb question.
If the box will only play signed code, then wont modifying the game data in order to cheat on LIVE be prevented?
I'm sure MS will do everything possible to detect and ban cheaters and they will succeed in doing so (checking data files). Cheating on live is probably the lamest thing you can do  cheating isn't even possible offline  |

the firmware is for the dvdrom, it doesn't touch the 360 at all. No... You look from other side of window... The 360 will be publicly hacked sooner or later so piracy will always be an issue. I understand one of the reasons it would not be released is also because MS would whoop the guys ass. I'm sure it would not be hard to release it anonymously though it's a shame it's not our decision. Still props to you guys, i just hope some one can use your research to launch it publicly :p |

why is every1 thanking people for this its nothing.i would like to see a video showing the back of the tv as well as the front to show there is not 2 360's. would the makers of this firmware hack do this.
also by not releaseing and telling every1 about this ust informs microsoft which you want,maybe a fat cheque from microsoft your after.
if its real good luck to you but i dont see the piont of telling people and then poeple thanking you what for.
