There's no challenge in that at all. The current hack should work without any real problems with xbox1 backups. And if it doesn't, it's really easy to add support.

Currently it's not required anymore to re-flash your drive. It's a generic solutions at the moment.

By the way, you have to make sure your mircowave is on DEFROST when installing the FW or it will only play PS3 backups!

No. This re-location is required but it's only a small part of the final hack.

Read the 'challenge response protocol thread' by Robinsod: (some of) the responses are read from disk and for types 5 and 7 there's a timer involved, which will 'fail' for a backup. So you'll need to hardcode the (timing-) responses (or find some other way to come up with the correct timer values, wouldn't know how to do that by the way, AFAIK this 'timer' procedure hasn't been completely RE-ed yet)

mi question is this 
i have made already a clean dump includig key and ifrmware ok now im using my pc
asus p5wd2 i have 2 sata drives both in the red connectors as master in a raid0 configuracion when i plug the 360 drvie it will detected in the bios but not in linux or windows i try opening the tray in linux but failed open to any suggestions
i dont get it to be reconize so i cant put the drive in modeB im using the 360 as a source of power but no croc clip i thing the ground of the sata will do
i have a friend thats using an IDE and having the same problem any ideas?

as you see the dooshbag here is giving the impression he is coming up with something on his own which isn't the case.

It will be interesting to see when it comes to reading/flashing the firmware if he just blatently steals SeventhSon applications.

I don't mind the step by step guide for disabled people but he seems to be wanting credit for all of it like he is f***ing magellan

If you are not experienced enough then you should not attempt any of this stuff at all IMHO. There's too much room for error, people will break their drive for sure. I have heard too many horror stories about this already. And they were experienced hackers .. Simply wait for a power adapter to be on sale. Or let the console power the drive. There's no need for any (custom) hardware solution.

Thanks all for the massive amount of info. It has been a pleasure following all the threads relating to this hack. I read the "step by step by step by step by step by step by step you get the idea guide" ( http://www.kev.nu/360/dvdshort.html#3).Plus hours and hours of re reading and reading other not so related threads. Seems to me you guys have given us all the info we need but the code itself. I understand that TS will NOT release it. But can we have more clues as to what part of the code to change and clues on what to change certain parts of the code to? Have I missed somthing? Can anyone point me in the right direction (other than write the code yourself or intellectual sarcasm) before I am too old and frail to be interested in xbox at all ?
