and yo could someone give me a good detailed tutorial on how to remove and solder the vcc the one i read was good but not really detailed,  all i see is a very tiny lil rectangular thingy with no way of knowing how to remove it....should i just grab some twizers and yank it out like it was some bug or do i have to do some other technique....these are questions that are pretaining to me....OH and do i really have to solder that resistor back? and so i have to solder the wires? once they are wired how to u unsolder them....this sounds like it could make a mess on the chip......well anyway sorry for posting up old news...but if u got a good link just in case the hot swap and bad recovery dont work thanks

oh ...this sucks man i heard people got theirs to work by booting with a sata hard drive or using their 360 hard drives connected to the pc with the team xecutor connectivity kit and when mtkflash tells u option 1 or 2 they disconnect the sata from the hd and plug it into the 360 dvd and it got it to load i dontt have anything thats sata related but im hoping this will cure my problem if i get a sata hard drive or the connectivity kit u know but im wondering if anybody ever had the problem where not even that method worked for them

@blazintildadeath

All the complaining  Angry

Be glad there are people who did these great work for us! Have you ever thank them?

All the new FW versions can be buggy... it will be a work in process... So you better had to wait and used the latest 3 version before running into the 4 verion.

Now you have to figure out how to fix it.
1. Get the X-kit
2. Get a Sata drive to hotswap

-. Do not SPAM us
-. Wait for answers after posting
-. Respect PLEASE!

Just reflashed it 5 more times with different firmwares, and finally at xtreme 3.1 it booted without error message.

so i went ahead and constructed my drive again, and yes indeed it works!

No more firmware updating for me now Cheesy

use some solder wick to and remove all solder from the resistor, then it will come off.

now you only need to solder the 2 wires onto it and work with 2 persons, one hold the wires together and the other one presses 2 on the keyboard to start flashing Cheesy

but wouldnt unsoldering the resistor, soldering the wires, unsoldering the wires and then soldering the resistor like stress that itty bitty area out?  Undecided

that lil resistor is sooooo tiny ..i just wouldnt want to like permenatly burn that area out...it sounds like u have to be a mad scientist to do this lol : Cheesy

it won't burn out if you use decent equipment and don't fry around on the spots for several seconds.

i dont know your experience with soldering, but i used my 15w soldering iron and it went perfect.

but i also soldered on alot xbox and gamecubes so i got some experience.
i hope the hotswap thing works out for you Smiley

Maybe you can also try the vcc trick, but you have to remove some of the glue over the firmware chip to access the 2 pins.
i think soldering the resistor is easier.

yo man i just bought a sata hard drive (western digital WD2500KS 250 gb 16mb cache) i set the hd to be a storage device rather than boot disk and have installed the latest via chipset drivers from via arena (i have a PT800ce-a v1.1 motherboard with a VIA 8237 chipset)....i had to put a jumper in the back of the sata hdd which setted the hdd to sata 150mb/s because my motherboard would ONLY recognize the drive with the jumper set to SATA 150MB/S now when i go to mtkflash and hit enter and now i dont get 2 options but rather i get the same freaking error that says "port 170 master/slave a09" so now i cant freaking hot swap...im a f***ing stuck like a bitch nothing is working...if no solution found then please direct me to a site where i can buy a new ts h943 ms25 thank u
