TDK 1st 10 games did are ok but 1 game i got 3 coasters on until i used a verbetim. 1st burn worked then i havnt gone back my opinion is if u dont or cant afford 2 spend a little xtra then u are just going 2 regret it in the end. Trying 2 save a few $ will lose u more and give u a lesser quality disc or non working games resulting in coasters and so on costing u more. Id just stick with whats been proven 2 b the better media. Tuyo Yuden are the same disc i think if they are the mij verbetims.

For the original Xbox I use DVD+R Verbatim disks, no problem any time...this is good for me also because I live in Australia and I do not have many "good" media types to chose from it's either basically expensive, super expensive or cheap and crappy, but yeah as one guy said in previous posts it's better to use higher quality disks because you get less coasters and it's like a one time coast. Think about it, unless your like mass producing them (which is illegal if your giving them to others) then there is no reason to skip on quality;)

My Xbox 360 has a Samsung drive and I use printable RiTek (Ridata). That is all I have ever used and all of my backups load very fast. Burned all the backups using CloneCD and on my Sony DRU-710A @ x2.4 speed. I buy my printable RiTek discs from www.supermediastore.com They have the lowest price and fast shipping. I buy 25 packs for under $50 USD delivered to my door and I get them usually in 1 to 2 days.

Burn with pioneer 111d. Mitsubishi and Verbatim DL both work good on TS and HL drives.

I've been using GQ (Fry's in house brand) DVD+R DL.
Burns perfectly fine, I did get a few dirty disc errors when I had FW 3.0. I updated to 4.2a (right before the fall update, thank god) and those games are playing perfectly fine now.
Best deal for this media as well. 15 pack for 21.00.

i also seen those in the frys ads but, can you tell us whats the manufacturer code on the discs? like does it say RitekG05 or something like that, use dvd decrypter and that will show you. i always thought those were some lame-o brands since they have a very lite color on the bottom of the disc.

I'm using Office Depot house brand... the one that comes in 25 per spindle. Got them for about 60 cents a blank. Works flawlessly on both the first firmware and 3.2. Have not had any disc errors

I use Traxdate 2.4x media, burned with an LG 4167B, so far there was no problem, but I tested only 1 game yet. Price was 20€ (25,56$). I tested 2 other games now, so actually every backup I did works.

I'm having a lot of problems with my LG 4167B and Ridata medias...it simply doesn't work, i'm trying to buy a Pioneer 111, but it isn't available in Brazil.
Some one, have some other writer to indicate??? like Samsung or another LG??? they are the only available in Brazil.

Ritek S04 (8x, but burnt at 2.4x) with pioneer 111 are playing very noisily with read issues with fullspeed, and barely ok at low speed.
