@ GaryOPA / Maximus,

I'm also missing gdrXX.bin using Maximus-Garyopa_XTRM-HITACHI_v2_2_Stealth 8in1 with Revised bats but I got extra bin file called 47_22S.bin. Also 100% flash and working fine but ending up with these files:

---- key.bin   ----
---- was.bin   ----
---- XX_22.bin ----
---- XX_22S.bin ---- (Firmware with maximus stealth patch?)
---- now.bin   ----

Where is gdrXX.bin? THNX

Not to worry, the only file you need to kept is the was.bin file, the rest don't matter, and the readme is just out of date in the naming of the files.

Thanks for the answer. Also I was using the 1.3 version before with media detection v2 from Geremia. And 1 game I burned on a Platinum disc because I run out of verbatims which played perfect. Now after using this firmware with the same media detection v2 it won't play the game [platinum disc] anymore [verbatims still run fine]. How come?

GaryOPA, Maximus, Geremia..anyone Huh

here is a new heavily dangerous test from me Wink

1) Flashing v47 driver with V2.1
2) Applying Maximus Stealth patch ( non stealth with mode B + tray open )

3) opening tray
3) Flashing directly with V2.2 -> all stage OK exepting Stealth sector as a result of "driver is NOT flashed blablabla..."

4) Reinstalling drive in the X360

5) perfect VERY QUICK boot !!!

I just installed this on my friends xbox and it is booting backups better but after playing dead rising for 10mintutes i get  dirty disc error also these would not work on the 2.1.
or 1.2 so the media detection is working so this is my setup for backups
memorex duallayers
compusa burner\
maximus software
and a shd162c

I am aslo having problems with dead rising but only on a 59b. It hangs on the loading screen the first time you try to enter the entrance plaza. The strange thing is that the same disc works fine on my samsung and it also works fine on another hitachi with 47d firmware flashed with 2.2.  Any ideas?Huh?

Just wondering something. Now that there is drive that can't be firmware updated how about doing this. Fake every hitachi drive as v0078 and only allow bios flashing when drive has been powerup when tray is open? That would be best stealth firmware ever and microsoft wouldn't be able to update firmware with any kind of update Smiley

It must be in ModeB so windows can detect the drive. SlaxCd took me like half an hour till i got the login prompt, and than i could reset my computer. So be pateint, let the SlaxCD run for a while.

to check for the line that says that the drive is in modeb.
wait till login screen then press ctrl+page up to scroll up to see the boot log
when drive detection is done you wil see the line that the drive is in modeb

Hello,

I just want know....

is having the right SS = Mediastealth ?    / I assume not?

Does Firmware Stealth make Mediastealth needless ?   / I assume not?

Would something like FirmwareGuard be better than Firmware Stealth?

So Firware is stealth but you can not play stealth online till now?

Thank you very much people.

To the best of anybody's knowledge this should allow me to download from Live and Marketplace without major risk provided I don't have back-up media in the drive, correct?

the media patch works fine. have 2 boxes with hitachi. one 2.1 flashed 47dj and a 2.2 flashed 59dj.
burned a cheap ass media with a nec 3570 on 6x. does not work on 2.1 box. works fine on 2.2 box.

after spending some time in flashing around on hitachi and samsung drives, i found a easy way to repair a bricked drive.

so i can say ... there's no NEED of desolder anything !!!

every bricked drive can reflashed !

it's quite simple to reflash a samsung or espialy a hitchi drive.

just have 2 and hotswap before restore... works anytime, no need of desolder anything !

For samsung you dont even need to swap, and for hitachi, could you give us more info.   Some bricked drives are on recovery mode where a simple swap will not work

To Maximus:

Update is needed in your v2.2 and v2.3 release.

BUG REPORT
===========

The v36 and v58 firmware are "brickers", need a small correction.

Here is the info:

V36 = Return Jump Located at >352F should be >DC >FF >0A >03 >00

V58 = Return Jump Located at >352F should be >DC >8F >12 >03 >00

-=(Gary at O.P.A.)=-

P.S. Many thanks MAXIMUS for your efforts and help in the x360 world.

tks Garyopa.

After I flash my drive (Hitachi V. 47), my original game "Fight Night 3" is only obtained to see in widescreen, has some way to come back it to place in Full Screen like before? The backups are run great (Burned in a TDK DVD+R DL, and a DVD burner Philips).
