ive had an xbox for a while now. one of the first mods, i think (modded by someone else). matrix chip maybe? the thing is, ive never learned how to do anything with it but play games, emus, and watch movies.

my question is about ftping. i want to move all my save games to my computer, reinstall with the latest dash via Auto-Installer Deluxe v3.10, and move the save games (and music) back on there. how do i connect to my xbox using my computer?

windows xp
netgear wgt624 router
early xbox with matrix chip (i think)

there's no reason to move the saves, since the autoinstaller will only mess around on C:, while the saves are on e:.

im having problems with my dash, evox. and i would just like to do a clean start.

can anyone tell me step-by-step how to do it with a computer, router, and patch cable?
