Great! I'm glad this feature seems to be working for everyone.  I still have a couple tweaks for it, then I'm going to look at 360 images closer.

How has the buring process evolved, does it seem better, worse, no difference?  Again, I have a few more tweaks for this also, but I would like to hear more opinions before releasing anything.

Using "Copy DVD" in Nero 7 worked for me to copy a backup.

Please no talk of backup of backups.  Yes it can be done outside of my app, but I dont want to get into a discussion of it here.  My app is already borderline in it's usefullness here on the site and I would like to for it to have a home still.

Thank you  Wink

Burning went ok but i got an error pop up when finalizing Monkey Ball, I checked the log and nothing was reported and the game worked fine. still it put me off so i burnt Razes Hell with imgburn. I'll buy some more xbox titles on the back compat list and test the burning process some more this weekend.

I don't mind trying to recreate the error if that helps?

was the error something like...

Action: GetMediaStatus()
Sence Error: 2 / 04 / 07
LOGICAL UNIT NOT READY, OPERATION IN PROGRESS
CDB: READ DISC INFORMATION
0x51 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 0A 00

Smiley  If so, I think I have a fix for that.  I may put out a small update for it.  It needs more testing though.

That's the one mate.

I can now confirm that this happens for me on another title,
Just ripped Splinter Cell it completed in 00:08:08
Burnt using XBC in 00:37:44 but got that sence error part way through finalizing.

again the backup works a treat, so the error seems to be a cosmetic one Wink

ok spoke too soon Sad

Same error but this time it happened part way through the burning process,
I was attempting to rip Splinter Cell - Pandora Tomorrow, but made the mistake of opening my browser!
The buffers dropped to zero and then the burn failed.

For ver 2.1, is the image 'complete" - with the SS, PFI,DMI included if I use it on a SH-162C with Kreon 0.81 Fw?

Can I just proceed to write it with XBC to my Pioneer 111d at 2.4x?

From what I read, people seem to be having more success burning with Img Burn. May I know what settings to use for an XBC 2.1 image with img burn?

Thank you for tolerating my newbie questions.

Yes you can burn the images with ImgBurn.  I have never had to do it so I'm not a good resource on the procedure.

It is complete if you chose the Complete Backup option for a 360 image,
for Xbox1 i also prefer to check/tick the Use Sector Mapper option.

Yes, you may or may not get a sense error but you won't know unless you try Cheesy
don't forget to let Redline99 know how you got on, all reports good or bad help.

if using imgburn the only thing i do is go into tools>settings>write>
& choose user specified from the layer break options,
then enter:  1913760 for an xbox360 image or 1913776 for the xbox1

then burn your image.

hi all, i just backed up my fonza xbox1 game using xbc 2.1 and saved the log file.  i check/ick the box that uses sector mapping and i got 15 sectors to read.  from sector 1 to 14, it is reading off the sammy drive becos the green lite was blinking.  but sector 15, the lite was not bllinking at all and it was big, about almost 40% of total disc space, that was around 3+ Gb.  even though it was not reading off the disc, the read speed still indicate about 6x - 8x read speed and the hard drive lite was blinking and the disc space remaining also reducing.

my question - anyone noticed such readout?  is this normal?  what was the hard drive reading if it was not from the sammy drive?  i appended the log file below for reference.  sorry for this long reply.....

"Processing Sector Mapper Section 15 of 15"

That is a section, not a sector.  A section is a contiguous block of sectors.  After processing section 15, it probabally had to add the filler at the end to create a proper sized image file. This filler process doesn't need the dvd drivebut is still writing to the hdd.

Hi!

I have an off topic question, please..

I found verbatim dual layer -R at 4x.
like this:
http://www.giga.net.au/verbatim-double-layerr-4x-p-318.html

Should I buy them?
Does anyone know if I can use them on 360 in the traditional way?
I am intending to write 360 backups of my originals, as well as 1 xbox1 game.

You cannot use a -r DL disc for one reason: It doesn't support a variable layer break. The layer break is fixed on a -r disc, where as the +r DL's can have a variable layerbreak. I beleive the problem is the same to be true with the xb1.

@Redline99: Glad to see you got xb1 extraction working, keep up the good work! I still haven't cracked my xbox open again. Too busy with life and everything but I swear to god i'll test it one day. Even if your on version 5.0 by then.
