Xbox Backup Creator v2.1 Build:0175 by Redline99
Props out to Acidflash, Kreon and Schtrom! You have all been a pleasure to work with. You guys make developing free software fun and much respect to you.
Acidflash - It has been fun talking code and bouncing ideas with you, thank you for your input. Your insite and tools have helped me improved the app, thanks again for everything! Kreon - You have made by far the greatest tool! Using your firmware is definitely the way to go. Schtrom - Awesome app you and Acidflash have! I can't wait to see what you have lined up next. Thank you again for your detailed bug reports.
Ok enough patting on the back, here it is!
Removed - SDG-605B from being able to create a Complete Backup Image (Will bring back and fix later) Removed - Most of the "Wait For Ever" CDB code options. This was causing what looked like a App hang. Removed - Speed Boost check box. It is now controlled by the drop down box in the Drive Specific settings
Changed - Log File will always get the Detail Log Level unless logging is turned off Changed - Reduced executable file size Changed - Improved installer Changed - Read Me file to reflect common questions and current status.
Fixed - ToolTip text for the Merge/Extract on the Image Tools Tab Fixed - Burner didn't write at selected speed Fixed - Error on Windows 2000 related to "uxtheme.dll" Fixed - DeviceIoControl Error when extracting Security Sector with SH-D162C (Experimental; not proven)
Added - More detailed logging of operations and results Added - Hopefully some better writer compatibility (I can't really test) Added - New logo by jhyphinwill, Thanks looks nice and it got me away from the Microsoft logo Added - New Read error reporting that will tell you the file name of the data it can't read Added - Check of the OS before using theme dll (uxtheme.dll) Added - Additional Inquiry data (Nice for Kreon’s SH-D162C, shows version info) Added - New dialog when a read error occurs (Allows Retry, Fill with zeros, Cancel) Added - Should a file buffer error occur during writing, it will retry 10 times before failing Added - Code to prevent multiple instances of the application Added - Warning if the drive is already unlocked when doing a Complete Backup Added - Better overall retry strategy when Initializing/Writing/Finalizing) Added - A detailed Security Sector log Added - Check of image file size before writing Added - Optimum Power Calibration before writing Added - Log file will now reset if larger than a 512KB Added - New method for reading Xbox One disks. This should greatly improve the process. See Note * Added - Feature to save the XDVDFS structure to a comma delimited text file (mostly for research) Added - XDVDFS File system entry details (if a read error is in the file system area) Added - Feature that if user selects to fill read errors with zeros, but a read error occurs in file system data they will get prompted again as this could be a media defect error in game data and shouldn't just be filled with zeros.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * This uses a technique I called the "Sector Mapper" It uses the XDVDFS to read only the data referenced by the file system. In theory this should do two things: 1. Speed up the process by not trying to read the Security Place Holders 2. Speed up the process by only reading the data, not the entire disk. Please be aware that although this has been tested and is working the concept has not proven itself on a large scale. It currently does not work on Xbox 360 disks. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hey Redline99, i could really do with picking ur brain, I have a SH-D162c flashed with kreon's 0.81. I have tried to backup DeadRising using Backup Creator 2.1 and the most it will get to is 576kb and then freezes. Windows says that the prog is "Not Responding" If i flash back to the orignal firmware then the drive becomes readable but then i can use ur program. Is there something really simple im missing coz this is driving me mad.... I have flashed my xbox and burnt backups myself, so its not like i am new to this but please say im doing something really daft and im just overlooking something. Any sugestions u have or any1 else for that matter would be much appreciated.

Hello. I would like to ask any hint for trusting or not trusting "Sector Mapper" for xbox1 games. I.E. game real MB? I don't know...anything please? It is brilliant idea (this mapper) but it will be awesome if we know when to trust it. If we can of course.... I am asking because I am still desperate with my scratched pal pro evo soccer 5... One thing is that Schtrom 2.1 with 0.81 f/w ripped it with no errors, while f/w 0.80 took 3 1/2 hours and took DRE once already.. So I thought it is better to trust newer apps that gives me errors as they work better (based on 0.81) with 162.c, so they are more reliable... With mapper enabled I get no errors with pre-sets though.... Still searching.... I am going to burn the new image to see(with mapper)

I'll give you a tutorial. 1. Get a samsung 162C dvdrom drive. Pioneer and other brands don't work. 2. I'll give you the next step when you've done that

hi all. has anyone tried to do a backup with xbox1 games using this new version. i did a read on my fonza motorsport and did a stealth check, it reported ok. i burn a copy of it but around 6% or so, when the file buffer went down to zero, i got an error prompt. sorry, i did not have the log file to show it.
i did the disc read twice, 2nd time i used sector mapping. all settings within xbc was set to xbox1. my system - sh-d162c (kreon 0.81), pioneer dvr-111d(tdb 1.23) and console xbox360 tsst-h943a (xtreme 3.3). media used - verbatim dvd+r dl @ 4x. could it be the speed of 4x that i used that screw things up?
that what i got to report...... hope to find a sloution fast. btw, i backed up xbox360 game (pgr3) no prob but i was using xbc 2.0 and kreon 0.8 at that time.

I backed up Forza no problem. Just checked the box for Xbox1 disk and let the program do the rest. Burned on Verbatim +R DL@8x with FW 1.29. Works perfectly.

Ripped some of my original xbox titles using the new sector mapper function, Woohoo! no errors, titles tested were... Super Monkey Ball Deluxe and Razes Hell both PAL_UK. Monkey Ball ripped in 06:37 & Razes Hell took 09:57
Play tested both over the weekend for hours, I even got the Mrs and my Son in on the act, So far so good no glitches or noticable problems at all.
thanks again mate
