hi,
sry for my bad english but i'm not english

i have a 360 with a hitachi drive and i thing that you guys prefer the gray opa xtreme 2.1 patch for hitachi drives, don't you?
my questions are:
i have a msi k8n neo2 with nforce3 and sata
so i can connect the hitachi via sata with my pc, but will it work with the nforce3 (perhaps somebody know)

but what i don't really understand: how can i save the key and the original fw from my hitachi?
and how i flash it?

Hi There

I have recently used a DFI lan party Nforce3 board, I had problems with the first two sata ports, but eventually got it working on sata port 3. I also had to remove any other sata devices beforw indows would boot. I did use OPA 2.1 from the 7 n 1 release. As far as I know, opa 2.1 backs up your original FW first which would include the key, although I think the hitachi is encrypted (not 100% sure). So if you ever have problems you just run restore.bat and it flashes your original back..

Good luck, forgot to say i had a July build of the 59DJ drive and used the original release of teh 2.1 without the additional code lines that Gary  had released. Without those lines the 59DJ is probably going to go into an never ending loop until you cancel.

Hey mate

Just ignore that other reply, i have no idea why people do that. I didnt bother with stealth and the media check add ons. The reason being is that I dont play on live and I only use Verbatims for my back up, saying that, I did use Infiniti and they worked well the other day.

What dvd burner do you have, if you have a pioneer 108, 109, 110 or 111 then you should be good to go..

Get the latest firmware, and make sure that your drive can be set properly for the bit setting / dvd-rom.

Don't know for sure, think a prog called dvdinfopro can help you there..
