I built a new PC and my mainboard is using a SIL SB. So I bought a 6421L PCI card since I read people having luck. I am able to flash the drive with the 6421L card, but XP is not seeing the drive using the 6421L (I scan for hardware changes etc). 530C VIA drivers installed and xtreme0080 flashed. Has anyone had any luck recognizing the Toshiba drive? This pisses me off because now I have to bring my sons PC with 8327 SB down to backup my games..any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

I also have been using via6421 pci card. It is good for flashing toshiba ms25 & 28, and good for seeing hitachi drive. IT WILL NOT SEE TOSHIBA DRIVE in Windows. You need sil3112 or Nforce4 chipset. Check DVDROM thread for sata compat. list.
