Let me see if I got the right (replacing my DVD-ROM Drive)

Ok other than just ask how to replace my DVD-ROM Drive stupidly. I decided to read a little and form what I read I can replace my broken Hitachi drive with a different drive (I'm thinking this one http://www.etech4sale.com/products/partinfo-id-153050.html )
If it is compatable order and wait for it to come in.
After that I will have to take my old drive out and use my computer to flash the new drive with Xtreme v2.0 (I think I am wrong on this step)
then put it the new drive in my xbox360 and is good to go.

I do not want to really mod my xbox I just want to fix the hatachi DVD-ROM drive that broke in it. If you have a better drive, or a better flash program plz tell me.

its more involved than that, you also have to extract the HEX key from your old drive firmware, decrypt your current firmware bin (once extracted), replace the DVD key into your new drive, encrypt the firmware and flash your new drive with the new firmware.

OK but will Xtreme v2.0 do that or do i need something elce
BTW I think it might be helpful to say that my mother board is an asus A8N-SLI. I keep reading about warning about using an sli chipset to do this with.
