Hello TMF's,

I'm now getting the 3-RoL's and no video, but my gpu is still on the board. Huh

Quick rundown:
Powered up 360 to look at a friends new game he brought over OverG Fighters.
Played for 2 mins, wasn't doing anything for me so he ejected it. turned off 360 and went to bed.
the only thing left connected was the power brick. the video was left plugged into the 360 but not the tv.
New day....turned on 360 and 3-RoL's apear. after many reconnects of all cables, removed HD...still 3-RoL.

I have read that there's a way to get the other underlying code.
I turn on and do the controller connect button and hit eject ..4-lights, toggle the eject 4-lights, toggle the eject 2-lights and one last time 4-lights = 0020

After many hours of reading I have come to the conclusion that it must be something to do with the GPU.
error 0020 is still unknown and the closest thing is possible overheating. the only other info on 0020 was GPU from another forum.

So here is my question.
Did the error you created with your experiments go away after replacing the gpu? if you did replace it!
I'll check back later to see if this has been answered....your input would be appreciated.

Also, your work here is awesome !!!

wrong topic, but ......

well, error 0020 could caused also by damaged, "disabled (no voltage)", bad solder joints (micro crack), or overheated GPU

remove the foil and replace the heatsink paste!! if this wouldn`t help, try the hot air gun method!!  Wink

Yes your correct in saying this is off topic....probally need to start a thread in other area.

Thanks for your reply...and GL on the rest of your work in this area.

I'll check back and see how the cpu and gpu tests go, gonna try the heat gun trick Wink

Last thing.....   Were you able to get the GPU chip back on, or was this just to take them off only?

Many Thks,
