Alternative FW for Samsung SH-D162C V0.80 released...

I have a samsung SH-D162C flashed with Kreon's v0.8 firmware. When I try to extract the security sectors using the xbox backup creator for Halo 1 game I get the following error message

Extraction of XBOX1 security sectors using the SH-D162C should be avoided due to a bug in the V0.80 firmware. This bug and a few other minor problems has been solved and I expect to release an update within next week.

In order to guarantee the best possible experience, the fw is being put trough a series of tests these days. The next 162C fw and upcoming releases of Xbox Backup Creator/Schtrom Extract should really make the backup process extremely simple, and will hopefully save you all a lot of trouble and coasters along the way

I am looking forward for the xbox1 ss update.

So at the momment no xbox1 ss can be extracted with SH-D162C..
I have this question:

-I have a pal 360. My pal xbox1 games will be able to backed up and played? (after the ss fix..)

-and another one plz: the backups of 360 and xbox1 can be copied again(reproduced)??     (as if they were originals...??)

You can backup XBOX1 games with the SH-D162C and 0.8 firmware.

After you extract the XBOX1 ss, edit the ss.bin and zero out bytes 0200 - 02D0 (excluding byte 02D0 but including 0200).  Merge back into the image then burn.  I have made a couple of successful XBOX1 backups using this method.

Kreon will fix the issue in the next version.

Don't discuss the backup of backups.

One question though:
Do I have to replace with zeros ( 00 ) on these bytes ?
(just to be sure I understood correct)
And 0200-02D0 are hexademical offsets?

One last..When I put my pal xbox 1 game (no ss as I know included) on my pal 360 it says to check for update in order to play the x game. I checked compatibility and i.e. PRO evo 5 is compatible, BUT I think site states that only us games of xbox1 are playable.. Dis I got that right?? Maybe the reason is because I was on American xbox site (not sure).

Normally I must be able to play "pal" xbox 1 games (my backups with ss injected) on my pal 360.Right?

Yep, insert zeros between 0200 and 02D0 (including hex line 0200 but excluding line 02D0)

Pal XBOX1 game backups work fine on PAL 360s with flashed DVD drives.

Hi,

So, I managed to make a backup of pro evo soccer 5 pal (xbox1) with the 162c and ss.edit but
I burned 2 dual+ with no success (FAILED)
I opened xbc v2 on 162c v.8 and unlocked the drive (don't know if that matters). I took read errors from around 50%, so I tried after that Schtrom360XtractV2.1
It bypassed the errors and I took game.iso.
Done the rest stuff....
BUT as I mentioned, I took 2 duals failed at 50% and 75%(same image) with ccd.

THEN, I rebooted xp and usb 162c, and directly opened Schtrom360XtractV2.1. I created a full image BUT not in 30minutes it took before, but 3 1/2 hours....
then I opened xbc2. I took ss, I edited them and game burned and worked, but with one read error ATM.
msg:the disc could not be read...
I used 2 ricoh for the first 2 failed, and a worse on the last one that worked.
I have nec 3550 with 1.06 f/w.

The obvious is that I have to use verbatim, although 360 back ups work fine..
BUT my first xbox1 game (the one described now) took 3 hours++ to jump from 96% to 100% the second time that xbc2 didn't interfered at all before game extraction.

Can anyone suggest me anything?
This remind me my hated game cube...
Please help me, or I am about to stick to 360 games and forget my old games (but pro 5 is my best and I want to back it up so as to use this one......)

Every time i try to back up the Dead Rising using both Backup creator & Schtrom360 (both are the newest available) both hang after ripping just 576kb.

Have ripped in the past using wxripper, would much rather your way but i cant get past 576kb and have even tried to just leave it for 15 mins and still nothing happens, windows just reports both progs as "Not Responding"   

Any ideas? ur help or anyone else's is more than welcome.
