You never see a picture with the 3 red lights. If you do some searching you could have found out the error code is
display by pressing and holding the SYNC button, and then pressing the EJECT button four times, pausing inbetween
each press to look at the red lights which will change pattern depending on the error code.

If all four lights are on it is a ZERO
If one light is on it is a ONE
If two lights are on it is a TWO
If three lights are on it is a THREE

So if you have the famous 0103 code, your lights would do the following during the four presses of SYNC with EJECT

First press and hold the SYNC button
First press of EJECT with the SYNC button, would display FOUR lights
Second press of EJECT again with the SYNC, would display ONE light
Third press of EJECT still holding the SYNC, would display FOUR lights
Finally on the Fouth press of EJECT & SYNC, it will display THREE lights

Even with wired controllers, all x360 consoles have a SYNC button, it is a very
small white button just to the right of the two ports where you plug in the
x360 memory cards into.

yeah, it took me a while to find that button also. If your xbox is satnding up, its just below the memory ports. if its laying on its side, its to the right. as gary said, just push and hold it, press eject, press it again, and again and once more. hopefully it doesn't blow up when your done, then Microsoft police will come confiscate your xbox.
