Will test it on poweriso tomorrow.

Also as an side note i hope you will add ability to use tools injection, extraction and stealth check without having drive connected.

I already implemented this and some other nice things!

Hey guys it looks like I'm having the same problem as other people with the D162C I have been able to extract SS info on occassion(kind of hit or miss). I have tried waiting for different time intervals to hit the first error message. Tried it on 2 Games with similar results. Havent been using DVD discs for some time. I have 2 young destructors I am trying to save my originals from Grin

I would be willing to help out with any BETA testing if you still need Guinea pigs Grin. I have been around for a while(I beat my head against a wall for weeks, finally got set up,then auto install was all overplace Roll Eyes  )
Any how, thanks for putting in your time guys,really....

I found that some games needed the files to be extracted individually, so extract the game, ss, pfi, dmi, and video into a folder. then use build360.bat that comes with the xtreme firmware.

or make it

Code:
copy /b video.iso + pfi.bin + dmi.bin + ss.bin + game.iso IMAGE.000

if your using clonecd you will need a image.dvd file aswell, or make it

Code:
LayerBreak=1913760
IMAGE.000

Hopefully this problem will be fixed in schtrom's next release, if not i will start up a new topic and try work out whats causing this fault.

Thanks for the quick reply!
I do have all 5 parts for Merger but 1.7 isnt working for me. Oh Well. If there is a new rev on the way I may just wait for that. Or I will tinker with the other stuff as time permits.
One thing though...
I had read somewhere that ss.bin may not be exactly the same due to timing errors? I compared the 2 (2mb) ss.bins I was able to extract( just to check). It seems as though they are 1 byte different toward the end of the files..
So I'm wondering which is the right one? Is that an issue? No biggie, I will keep reading till it works Wink

Saints Row is the first game I can't get a working backup of using Kreon 0.8 and Schtrom 2.1 (xtreme 3.0 rip). Everything rips fine and the image is the right size, burn with clone cd (burner set to dvdrom booktype), insert into console and the game just stays on reading for a couple of minutes then comes back with unrecognized disc. Anyone know what might cause this error? Maybe the ss isnt quite right? Gone thru 3 dual layers trying this.

Madden 07 and Dead Rising backup fine using the same method.

I would do an ss extraction on the TS-H943A and the SH-D162C. Then you can compare and post any differences. We don't know how many differences are tolerated by the XBOX but 4 to 5 don't seem to make any problem atm. I would also do an ss extraction "by hand" with DVDInfoPro so we are sure if the program or the drive caused the problem. Normally the differences occur at the c/r data and I never had any differences at the end of the ss.

btw poweriso issue and empty combos are fixed. Problem is poweriso which don't respond to the inquiry command every drive should support. Maybe this is intended by the authors.

Is your Saints Row a PAL copy from Australia? I didn't realise Schtrom 2.2 was available.

Making backups is no problem but when I try to extract the DMI, PFI or SS from a backup made with a image created with Schtrom360Xtract v2.1 It gives an error message. When I check the image file with acidflashes tool it passes all tests so the DMI, PFI and SS are imbedded in the game image. I'm confused why the program works so well on originals but not backups. Was this intentionally done to limit piracy? BTW...great program...I highly recommend it. Smiley

It still does....At least with the TS-H943 anyway. I don't have a Hitachi but I see no reason why it wouldn't work as well. Are you sure that windows is seeing your 360 drive?

Be sure to name the game and send us the ssDebug.log file after activating it in the options. A normal log would also be helpful. Thanks for testing in advance!

Schtrom 3.0 does work a treat. The rip time is down from 14:20 to around 12:20. I do notice that the rips don't pass the stealth checks due to the video partition. How do i get around this?

Is there an error at run time? First try to extract the video alone and compare them to c4e's video360.iso.

Ok I extracted the video iso first and it's the same size as c4e's video360.iso but when i go to inject the extracted video iso i get this error "No Valid video iso" "Can't inject video.iso to image". No problems injecting c4e's video360.iso
