The DVD Drive must the next Letter behind your Harddrives, e.g. is your first HDD Drive C: ansother Partition D: so you have to give the DVD Drive the E: Letter

Hi,

Ill start by saying im in Aus, and im using a aus pal disc. I have succesfully made backups with my sh-d162c with kreons v0.6, and added the ss.bin later.

I upgraded the firmware on my sh-d162c with the V0.8 firmware (thanks kreon). Restarted computer. I put a original game in the drive, open schtrom360xtract v2.1. First thing, i cannot save on usb drive, easily fixed, i save it elsewhere. in task i select 'whole disc (stealth xtreme 3.0). I then click extract. It goes for a few seconds and comes up with the message 'security sector extraction is currently not full supported...' I ignore this message click ok. I then get a second message saying 'can't extract ss.bin!' at 3% and the drive starts grinding. I eject and it stops. I then close Schtrom360xtract, and try again. I get the error 'No valid Xbox disc in drive!'. I tried putting another original in, and i get the same error. If i restart the computer and start over with a different game Same things happens.

If i select game.iso, video.iso, ss.bin and extract them all indivualy it seems to go ahead with no problems, I have the tool that was released with xtreme 3.0 and i will soon try this method to see if i can make a succesful backup.

Any help would be greatly appriciated. And thanks again kreon, schtrom and the rest of the team. Great work.

i just attempted to rip an xbox 1 game using schtrom 2.1 and kreon v0.8, but when i put the disc in the 360, it gives the "this is an xbox game disc.  please put it in your xbox to start playing."

the original had already been in the 360 so the update for it had already been dl'd.

the only error i got was the ss error (the one said to be ignored).

if put in my xbox (1), just says disc isnt there.

any words of wisdom?
I'm having exactly the same probs, only it is a XBOX 360 Magazine demo disk i am trying to back up, use xtreme 3.0 version (steaalth), get warning about ss sectors and continue, disk when burned just says this is a xbox video game disk please put iti in your console to start playing... which says to me the drive isn't correctly reading security sectors...
ps firmware in my 360 is xtreme 3.2 samsung.

Well..... if it really comes down to incorrect SS extraction, you should start sending me good (TS-H943/GDR-3120) and bad (SH-D162C) security sectors for the disc's you are trying to backup.

I will never be able to test all discs available worldwide (would be nice though Wink), so the only way to fix bugs related to SS extraction is with a little bit of help from you.

I'm only interested in 360 games at the moment..... Xbox1 games will be addressed later.

At the moment i don't have a xbox 360 game to mess with, just this Xbox Magazine Cover disk, which should be exactly the same as a game, my back up size is always 7,433,027,584 bytes.. this isn't correct is it?

Fixed my problem. I was trying to extract to a HD formatted w/ FAT32. I didnt realize that it was not NTSF. I would suggest in future versions that you include a formatting check with an error msg if the disc format will not support the image file size. Thanks for the great app!

scotia, i think i got it working, will soon find out. I reset the computer, have to do this everytime i get the 'no valid xbox disc' error. I opened schtrom360xtract v2.1 before opening any other programs, and clicked whole xtreme 3.0 as task. and clicked extract i let it go. and when it gave me the first error i waited about 20 seconds, then clicked ok. and it didnt give the second error, its still copying, so i will keep you updated. Im guessing its a problem with my system, i am running win xp with media centre, on a celeron 1.9ghz, 256mb ram. and copius disk space.

Thanks. Waiting about 20 secs does the trick for me Smiley I am running xp pro on P4 3.2G with 1GB RAM. I don't think it's a problem with your system. Hope the next version of Schtrom360Xtract will fix it.

After trying My xbox 360 magazine cover disk i tracked down an original xbox 1 game - Splinter Cell... the original works but the xtreme 3 back up with schtrom 2.1 and Samsung 612c v0.8 is still 7,433,027,584 bytes the same as the xbox 360 magazine cover disk, both when burned say this is a xbox game disk, please insert in your xbox...
Maybe the 360 magazine cover disk is actually a dual layer xbox 1 disk the same as Splinter Cell???
Either way i still havn't produced anything that works yet with this method.   Cry

Just thought id let anyone with the same problem know, that i managed to burn a couple of succesful backups.
Waiting for 20 seconds before clicking the first error message worked fine for DOA4 PAL, but with NFSMW PAL i had to extract the files seperatly than use the tool supplied with the xtreme package to merge them back together.

Burnt both games using my SONY DRU700 burner, i did not change booktype or bitsettings, as my ts drive has the xtreme 3.3 firmware.

Also i can confirm TDK discs are working using the DRU700 and playing in the TS drive with 3.3 firmware.

I hope they put a patch out soon or the V2.2 they have been talking about has solved the problem!!! because its abit of a pain to reset it everytime it happens!!! Also does anyone know anything about the extreme images and converting them to work with Team underdogs chips? can you a extreme image 3 and use team underdogs program to convert it or does that only work on Extreme image 2?

Found out why task list in Schtrom360Xtract was empty for me atleast. Seems that PowerISO Virtual Drive is interfearing with Schtrom360Xtract. Just set number of virtual drives to disabled and Schtrom360Xtract works.

Thanks for testing this out and sending feedback! We implement a huge logging function in the next version, hope we could trace errors faster with it!

Hi posti! Can you send a inquiry command with DVDInfoPro to the virtual drive. I suspect this won't work proper and therefore I think my inquiry routine is canceled!

DVDInfoPro doesn't even show poweriso virtual drive. So i can't send any commands because can't even select it because it isn't in selection list. Daemon tools virtual drive shows up just fine. You can install poweriso yourself and seed what's problem.

Also as an side note i hope you will add ability to use tools injection, extraction and stealth check without having drive connected. Now i can use them without drive if i put poweriso virtual drive on Smiley
