Hitachi drive bricked, but still detected.....as USB Mass storage in windows.

i've bricked my hitachi v46 drive today (which is connected through usb 2 sata) as i wanted to flash new mediapatch with birdy flasher. before i had garyopa 7in1 v2.1 but my NEC burned dvd didnt run on my hitachi. so i wanted to flash ther new patch.

i flashed to original with garyopa's flasher and everything was fine.

than i flashed the drive with birdy, it dumped the fw and checked than i got an error an the programm didnt do anything anymore, it said idle and i couldnt hit the go button anymore. as i closed birdy flasher and restartet it the drive didnt get recognized.

but windows still detects it as USB Mass storage! is there anyway to reflash it ?

i used slax cd before with special settings for usb 2 sata connection, but know since the drive is bricked i cant set it in modeb with it

would the wire trick to get into modeb help ? or is the drive just dead ?

thx

im using usb 2 sata adapter and it worked until the flashing with the buggy birdy flasher, but somehow i think the drive never got flashed with birdy trough usb and that this was the reason for the false check wich let birdy "freeze"

but im not getting my drive into modeb

EDIT: when i type in the modeb command it says now no such file or directory, but before i managed to run it ( i mean half an hour ago or so) but it didnt said done

when i type in dmesg it doesnt show up that the drive is mounted, how can i manually mount the xbox drive ?

yeah i somehow got it into modeb and windows does recognize it Smiley
