homebrew vhdl / cpld patch mod wip

if theres not a problem with the moderators/staff i'd like to use this thread to dedicate my finding and to a eventually release a vhdl/cpld patch mod which will work on all drives.

i will only post sources and will document them well but its just a matter of sending


it will be hitachi drives first as thats all i have for testing.

i know theres some homebrew MCU threads out there but i just want to do it as a learning excersise for people who want to learn logic

this is the setup im going to use

its just cheap xilinx demo board which will be use as a pass through to tap the bus so i can read/write bytes and can output them to debug lines.

The logic analyzer is a PC based la-lu which is used for the tapping.

i need to install webpack and finish off some basic code then i can post my findings
