Can you please tell us the steps exactly that you used to burn this?  I do not understand "blank.iso".

1- ripped splinter cell 2 with quix to my pc hd
2- ripped splinter cell 2 ss.bin using ss patcher's minidvd infopro tool
2- replaced offline.xbe and online.xbe from splinter cell with a renamed xboxdash.xbe
3-made a "game.iso" with quix using the files in my pc hd (including the fake offline and online xbes)
4- using xtreme's package isobuilder\xbox 1\build.bat assembled the image.000 (blank.iso+ss.bin+game.iso)
5- burned image.000 with cloncd

i have read a little bit more about xbe's and just start thinking about the media flag check, i dont know if this is present in the xbox1 dash to let it only boot of a hdd. but then i had another idea. couldnt the complete mechassault game been putted in the image of halo2(or another game). cause then if the media flag check would look at the xbe then that problem would be solven.

maby worth a try ?

sorry for my bad english but i'm a dutch guy

I looked in the harddrive and there are no xbe files at all but there are fonts and i have tried the other hacked fonts with no luck, there are also 2 other xex files and thats it.I made a backup of halo 2 with quix and used the original xbox dash and replaced it with the downloader.xbe file and renamed the same and put all the other dash files in also.and i got the same error as the top of this page.

then you didn't look very closely. there are in fact xbe files, but they're 808 byte small dummies.

nothing at all, cause they're dummies. they're in the "compatibility" folder as far as I remember.

hmmm.........

mechassault not listed in the retrocompability list .....

im going to add that game to splinter cell 2,maybe we can shot 2 birds with the same stone.

1-confirm that non listed games can run this way

2-maybe if it runs we can use the infamous mech hack?

the mech hack can not function, the hypervisor specifically blocks buffer overflows, which is what the hack is.

test finished.

splinter cell 2 boots, but when you choose individual mode it triggers mechassaults default.xbe renamed to offline.xbe starts loading, but then the white background with xbox1 logo pops up and then a system blade with the message:

(in spanish)

este juego de xbox original ha encontrado un problema y no puede continuar.para obtener mas informacion, visita www.xbox.com/support.

x:2692.0  b:1884.0

aceptar

(poor english transation)

this original xbox game has found a problem and cant continue.to get more information visit www.xbox.com/support.

x:2692.0  b:1884.0

accept

i think it wanted to run the mech xbe but because its no supported it just failed.

any thougts?

im ready for another test and i will take ideas from anyone.

i wanna test also, hopefully you could be onto something, and the fact you can use any supported xbox iso is good to, no need for raw iso.Just need to know what to put in the game to enable it to boot.

try the basics first. try to go from one game to another. then worry about going form one game to an unsupported game. $#!t. try to go from one game to a demo, or an arcade game.
