i have got halo 1 here and there are no demos on it at all, fusion frenzy has video demos, but no playable demos so no luck on both of those either.here is the compatability list if anyone wants to check http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/backwardcompatibilitygameslist.htm

you don't have the launch version then. I think there is more than one launch title with the fusion frenzy demo. Had Tailblazers and that duck jump one. twisted systems.

http://www.epinions.com/game-Software-All-Xbox-Fuzion_Frenzy/display_~reviews

Quote, "We first got hooked on Fusion Frenzy from the demo that came with Halo. We kept resetting the demo to keep playing after it finished its demo cycle. Soon we realized that buying the full copy was our only solution. Itīs amazingly fun."

Just find a different copy or go rent it. Very possible. I'll look for other games that had that demo available.

Im going to ftp into my xbox and see how the file system is laid out in fusion frenzy, then i'll go see if my halo CE has the demo on it.

well, as far as my most recent test goes, renaming offline.xbe to online.xbe and viceversa does not breaks the signature as splinter cell pandora tomorrow still works.

or maybe all xbes in any supported game have some kind of identification in the emulator?

i just realized im maybe trying with the wrong game....

even with the renamed files individual mode is still loading the individual game ,not the online game.

how in hell is splinter cell pt calling the correct xbe even when they are renamed?

edit:

sorry,my bad,individual does start online.xbe and multiplayer starts offline.xbe.
exactly the oposite as expected.

once again,my mistake.

i doubt it is protected TOO secure, they probably didn't see us even being able to change the name of the files. let alone getting a burned cd to play.

I bet the xbox just reads the name of the game, and checks it with a list of compatible games. If it checks out, it runs, as long as the signiture and whatever checks the xbox makes are ok.

So tell me again, you renamed offline to online and online to offline and it still boots the offline version anyhow? im going to double check the list and see if the online version is even supported.

EDIT: just checked and apparently the online version is supported. i have the original splintercell. Im going to put that in now and do some thinking.

My halo CE has the playable demo!!! please PM me for info Smiley

im going to try to insert a game into my xbox halo folder and see what happens...  If we can get it to work on the xb1 first, then maybe... This will save me wasting any DL discs also.

EDIT: actually, msn would be better i've never checked any pm's...

klipseracer@hotmail.com

EDIT2: check it out it is in this folder:

/F/Games/Halo/XDemos/Fuzion/

then these are the files in that folder:

FuzionFrenzyDemo.xbe  ---->  2.70 MB
ff.png  ---> the fusion frenzy logo
/Packages   -> the folder containing the demo data i assume

inside packages:

/English
/MetaLevs
/Video

then 32 .xpb files including:

bgeffects.xpb
charactersel.xpb

to name a couple.

ok. well. inside of the xdemos folder, i injected doa3 and renamed xdemos.xbe to xdemos1.xbe and renamed doa3's default.xbe to xdemos.xbe and when i click on game demos in halo, it goes to a black screen and just sits... so im going to put doa3 inside of the fusion folder and rename the doa3 default.xbe to fusionfrenzy.xbe and see what happens... ill keep this updated as i find out.

well. i dunno what i did wrong, you said you got it to work. maybe its because doa3 or halo aren't the right combination

What i did find, is this. I renamed doa's default.xbe to fusionfrenzydemo.xbe and it goes to same black screen. however if i use myfiles in xbmc and try to run fusionfrenzydemo.xbe directly, same black screen. as soon as i rename it back to default.xbe and run it through xmbc, it loads fine...  so for some reason, doa is locked to default.xbe or it won't run. tell me your findings.

EDIT: renamed doa's default.xbe to default1.xbe and it works...maybe i messed up.

EDIT2: ok, i just messed up because when i rename doa's default.xbe to fuzionfrenzydemo.xbe it works when i load it directly from xbmc. but it goes to a black screen and locks up my xbox when i try from the demo list inside of halo.

EDIT3: ok im going to try PSO instead of doa3..  BTW what are .XDI files for?? this may be part of my problem.

EDIT4: Ok. pso doesn't work either. I think its just halo. or the way halo loads the demo files.

does splintercell have the .xdi files too? im going to research them.

BTW: I got in contact with the guy that knows the Phantasy star online encryption algorithm. And he said he is willing to help with it. So if you can get Phantasy star online to load. we may be one step closer. Smiley  If anyone forgot, pso is how they hacked the Gamecube

what is that xbox.bin file?

And it appears there isn't a .xdi file in there...whatever those are.

EDIT: apparently they use .xdi files when they put more than 1 xbox game on a disc....Hmm...

xbox.bin is one of the files in splinter cell pt.

i just tested de 360 version of that test,if i choose individual i get the error mentioned before about problem with original game, but, if i choose multiplayer i get the following message:

(in spanish)

hay un problema con el disco que esta usando.

puede estar sucio o daņado

(poor english translation)

theres a problem with the disc you are using.

it could be dirty or damaged.

that message does not comes from a 360 system blade, it pops up just like it was played in the original xbox and you taked the disc out of the xbox.

typos

so, obviously the 360 doesn't see a problem with that, but the emulator does. Does anyone have a NON modded xb1 with just the dvd hack? this could save DL discs.

funny thing, when in the "dirty or damaged disc" stage if i use the big "x" button in the control i can hear the system blade popping up,but, theres no system blade at all,it comes up only if i push the eject button in the 360

see? what did i say. Emulators are glitchy.

Splinter cell PT doesn't have a demo on it does it? You should try to mess with halo and see if you can get that to work. Hit me up on msn please.
