Yes but you have to remember that Microsoft sells consoles at a loss only to make up for the loss by making money on accessories (i.e. Controllers, HD-DvD, etc.) and publishing games!

If Piracy becomes too big of an issue they will take an agressive action because they will be losing a source of funds to make up for their loss on the consoles and in-turn will be not be turning a profit from their Gaming Division as a whole

Well actually that is a big deal. XBL is more then only online gaming like for example KAI or XBConnect for example.

Furthermore, what if you can't get a dashboard update anymore. You say no big deal? It would be damn sh*tty if you wanted a webcam for UNO but it won't work properly because you would need the newest dashboard update for it you aren't getting anymore by that time... Or imagine that simply some new games won't run -properly- anymore without the newest dashboard update.

It's just not as easy as it seems. I'll just say one thing. Uberfry and his new thread on open source modchip/solution will probably have some answers when everybody supports it through the MS28 yet know undumbpable firmware combined with the stealth Xtreme 3.0 maybe.

who says it is undumpable anyways? maybe by mtkflash. doesn't mean at all that there isn't a custom or just unsupported command (by mtkflash) that will read it.
