First, xenon80 wrote this text for me..

Ok, there are 2 things that happend before my drive get undetectable (E65)...

The first thing is that, my Connectivity Kit is getting in contact with the chassis of my PC-Tower... surely the biggest misstake.

The second thin is that, i plugged in the power cable the other way around (from PC) into the connectivity Kit... with one of four contacts.

I know i´m a big fool....

I hope you can help me and sorry that my english is sooo bad.

I have never seen one of these "Connectivity Kit" boards, but I keep seeing messages
about plugging in the cables backwards?

How is that possible, in all my years of plugging in cables even when I am drunk I still
have not plugged one in backwards!

It must be a bad-ass cheap design of the "Connectivity Kit", as you can't plug in
power cables wrong on a HDD unit or DVD player, don't they use the same connector
as normal PC stuff?

All tho I know it is possible, a friend of mine bought a new card for his PC, opened up
the case and push and push and could not get the card to plug in, so he looked at it
and saw the long silver metal bracket, and decided it must be part of the shipping
container to protect the card from damage, so removed it and plugged the card in
with no effort, and then turned on the PC and wondered why his PC was smoking!

The Connectivity Kit used standard power plugs on the power side and the male/female plug is exactly like the xbox dvd for the dvd side.
The only way to plug it in wrong is to force it.  (Forcing it is easier on the dvd side)
Im not sure how you would get the power side wrong as it is keyed, you would really have to try?

The easiest way to fry the kit is shorting it out on something conductive.
