I need to knoiw if my Hitachi is bricked. I used crosswire method to get in mode b and flashed with Birdie 2.0. Everything went fine. When i tried to boot a backup, i get dirty disc error using verbatim media. The twist is that now, some originals don't work and some work fine. Even after restoring back to original firmware i still have problems with some originals. Sometimes i get dirty disc error with them and sometimes they load and then freeze once it gets into the game. Are these the characteristics of a bricked drive or is there something i can do to save my 360? Any help is appreciated.

I think crosswire has caused something strange to happen to my Hitachi. I can't understand what has happened and i'm looking for anyone with the same problems i'm having. My original Prey and Tomb Raider both get dirty disc error and my original Chromehounds freezes in the same exact spot every time. My other originals work perfect, Ghost recon, Condemed, Quake all play fine. Could it be a coincidence that the originals that i'm having problems with are the newer games that have been recently released? Could M$ have made some kind of defense in their new games? Anyway, i would not recomend crosswire to anybody because it is too unpredictable. I'm having bizarre symptoms now with original games and i think its because of the crosswire method. Gonna have to get a new drive and start again.  Angry

your're right, i shouldnt blame crosswire, im just frustrated because i cant' figure out what happened. I'm hoping its just a wrong flash but why would some games work and some not if it was a bad flash wouldnt all games not work?  Huh
