Garyopa, love your work. But I really think that the drive backup should be separate from the flashing. I see no point whatsoever in having multiple orig.bin backups when all but one of them are badly flashed hybrids of stock and hacked firmware.
My suggestion: Have a separate backup.bat file that the user can run when they know they have stock firmware Take the backups out of the flash.bat file but replace it with a couple of lines like this:
if NOT exist orig.bin goto MISSING goto BACKUP
New version to be released tonight with the "missing" v58 firmware needed for those many current x360 owners, already has a better backup and restore system. You will love it... Much much better... The best so far...

Dear Gary the eject not open when the xbox 360 reading a disc! how im can reset this timer for the tray open Huh im press eject many times and the drive not open and my second question im turn off and turn on my xbox 360 with a game inside three times, and in the second and third time the game not works and appears a message "open tray" in my first try my game works fine in my xbox 360 why ? Thanks Smugglerbrazil In my latest package "XTRM-HITACHI-6IN1-V1_2r1.RAR" all versions of all firmwares have the "tweaks" in them.
In my earlier package "XTRM-HITACHI-6IN1-V1_2.RAR" all later versions did, but v32/v36 were a little buggy.
All the packages before any v1.2 release does not have the "tweaks" in them, hence they are v1.0 and v1.1
Soon to be released a 7IN1 package (only needed for those with the Hitachi v58 drive), all firmwares still v1.2

Since "c4e" released a new Xtreme v2.0 for the Samsung, I decided to hold off for a half a day, and not flood the channels and boards with two releases on top of each other.

That means that all we hitachi users could expect a new release for hitachi drives with the latest stuff added from xtreme 2.0 release to the xtreme 1.2? Also is there any possibility for a hack on the fw according to what automan sain about the booting speed of hitachi drives? Keep up!!!!

@mdd45
I wouldn't expect Garyopa to have the new Samsung functionality implemented into the Hitachi firmware in his next release. Maybe he and Birdy will do something similar in the future if he has the energy for it.

Our (garyopa) will have the following features:
* V58 firmware support
* Better patching (no problems if current firmware, a little messed up) (but drive must still be in Windows)
* No backup needed for RESTORE function (but drive must still be in Windows)
Within a week you will see full "f900" for all drives with no flashing, still needs alot more testing. Will not need the "Enable0800" disc, as the Hitachi already has two modes (Mode B and Mode A), the SS function of course will only be there during MODE B operation. -- Both Birdy and us (GaryOPA) have been working along the same lines for merging the "f900" for v47 with the Xtreme system, by using the Mode B to trigger the switch. -- Alot of coding to be done.

@smuggi:
Maybe you should reflash your drive, cause your friends dont have that problem. I would say let your friend flash your drive.
PS: Some things are hard to guess when we only can read your lines!
PSS: Gary will answer your question when he feels to, dont bother!

@smugglerbrazil Not to put words in for garyopa, but he probabally isn't inclined to be here for support questions and/or he is busy with other things. Don't feel bad about it (he doesn't talk to me either ) just move on and use the help forums. Give the 1.2 a try see if it works better for you, maybe go back to the original stock firmware and start over. You didn't say what drive firmware version you are using. (dont remember offhand what the r1 addressed but probabally something do to with the 32/36 drives, it was a page back or so) Anyways, use the help threads maybe you will get more responses there. Just some general forum editicate items to remember... Post in the correct forum/thread. Don't post in bold or all caps. Don't quote unnecessarily. Read and try things on your own first. Tackle one problem at a time. Look for others with similar problems Describe your problem and setup in more detail. Be patient and don't beg/whine.

Dear Friends
i do many tests with the 1.2R1 version of firmware!
but if you turn on the 360 with drive empty and put the game disc and press eject button one time after the leds of power button off and the "play game" appears! and you need to eject the disc after play for you can obtain to play in next time!!!
and with this method all will works fine!
the correct steps are :
1* - turn o n xbox 360 and insert a game disc 2* - press eject one time after the leds of power button erase 3* - choose "play game" 4* - eject the disc after play
but if you turn off the xbox 360 with a disc inside the eject not works after you turn on the xbox 360 again the eject only back to works again after the game load!
why the eject no works
Thanks SmugglerBrazil I still have 1.1 on my 360, but on my friends 360 i flashed, i put 1.2. When a game is already in the 360, turn it on by hitting the eject button. The 360 wont eject, but instead keep reading the disc, then it will boot, all the time.
