well i successfully had the c4eva fw working but decided to restore to orig. so i could use on xbox live without being banned, but in the middle of restore it froze at the cmd prompt. so i had to do a hard shut down and now i cannot power on the pc with the my 47 drive connected, it just freezes up at detecting ide drives stage. any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. also i plugged drive back into xbox 360 and drive will not open, i am asuming that its a bad flash, but it was all the correct methods, im not sure why this happened. thank you.

Oh im sorry, im a tad sleepy. Even though it seems thats what you were left with, unplugging the drive after an unsucsesfull flash is one of the worst things you can do. Hopefully its not bricked, since windows wont start, could you hotswap with something after windows starts to get it into modeb?

i tried to plug in after windows boots and then refresh from device manager but it freezes, let me try and hot swap with another dvd drive.

edit: sounded good but all of my other drives are ide.

ok if i do this method how can i get windows to recognize the 360 hd and issue a drive letter? i have hooked up the hd before but there was no drive letter or access to the hd without using xplorer360

Edit: i just powered up with samsung 360 hd let windows recognize, there was no letter issued. unplugged sata cable and pluged in dvd drive but nothing, just the hd disapeared for the dismanagement window. no luck scanning for hardware changes in the device manager either

is there certain timing needed for the hotswap?

sounds bricked, i havn't heard of anybody recovering from a brick by hotswap. Even though its flashing like its in modeb, it probably isn't at least fully in modeb. Know someone that can manually program the chip?

hotswap won't work since the drive no longer reports itself as a device to windows.
as usual, the only option is to flash externally.
