For the firmware trick, you have to booy from floppy, what about cd? cause my computer has no floppy drive, thanks for reply

I'm guessing you are referring to the boot disc needed for flashing the Samsung using mktflash? When booting to floppy you have a medium to backup your original firmware to. You might consider booting from a USB stick if your PC-Bios allows booting from a USB-device. That way you do have the option to safe the original firmware to your stick.

i have the hitachi 47d dvd, i dont have floppy or usb stick, can i save the original firmware on a cd, can i do boot from cd?
