i got a dead one yesterday turn it on, green center light, no ring light, no video check the board, missing the red cap, the blue cap is moved to c8c1 (falcon) what is the value of the red cap and should blue cap be back to his position ?  Its dvd driver Label says H943A ms28 In JF, it detect as pbds vad6038 but the log says "Key has been tested and verified, thanks C4eva ! Drive is Samsung.. " what does it mean ?

" what does it mean ? it means that the drive has been spoofed as a benq drive so that means that the original drive was benq and someone replace it with a samsung drive which will need to be switched back in order to play XGD3 games! check the cap next to the missing one and that the same value cap you need to replace it with! hope that helps m8

thank you so is there any problem with the blue cap ? about the driver, now i need to flash it back to original fw before flashing it with LT+ 2.0.1 ? i cant put the driver to the vendor mode, already try unplug and plug the power cable but then JF cant detect it

if i rgh this xbox, and patch OSIG to accept the sammy instead of benq but no change the dvd key then flash the sammy back to its fw with this dvd key and remove the rgh => can it be ok ?

no that wont work as the Xbox keyvault cant be modded or changed in any way as the Xbox has a keyvault hashing check which will make the Xbox have Xmas lights if tampered with! just replace the drive with benq and flash the correct key to the drive and thats it easier and less simpler than RGH

Unless the caps look like they're missing or have been moved (you can tell by looking at the solder points), I wouldn't touch them.

i'm a bit busy so i havent try to fix it yet but, i got a another question if a xbox with a samsung driver cant read AP2.5, do i need to burn full ap 2.5 game to play/install to hdd ? or just burn like normal xgd2 ?

XGD3 games will still need to be 100% burned to disc regardless. For the simple sake of running your rip through ABGX I don't see why you wouldn't.

so i cant use truncate dvds ? Why wouldn't you want the full data burned onto a disc? Are you not aware that some games fail during play because they're missing data in the last 3%?

so i cant use truncate dvds ? Why wouldn't you want the full data burned onto a disc? Are you not aware that some games fail during play because they're missing data in the last 3%? true that m8 they give you the unauthorized disc while playing and it restarts your Xbox every time (only if installed to the HDD)
