I know this has been aswnswered many times but we are still lost. We have gotten jungle flasher and can read from DVD drives to recode the new one but still cant get the original code from the motherboard. We have tried xell reloaded but are not able to get it to load on the xbox 360. We have been using a SATA drive docking station that connects by SATA cable to read drives and try to read the motherboard but we have only been able to read drives with jf. We have renamed and loaded the updxell.bin file and have not been able to get it to load from HDD or USB Flash drive. Yes we renamed the correct file for mobo and it is not bin.bin.

We keep seeing stuff about the nand but we get lost there. Is it involved with reading the drive key? Is there a specific way to get xell loaded or a certin way to load info into the box. We are not looking to add hardware to the motherboard and we are looking for a streamlined way to read the code because we have several boxes to fix. We have been swapping the boards from drive to drive but the problem comes in when somebody else didn't in the past.

Any help in this situation would be greatly appreciated!

We are trying to keep these boxes original(for the most part) so they can go on xbox live. Do we have to connect to a chip to read it? We've seen videos of this but we do not want to mod the box for the previous reason.

We have looked on several boards but the members here seem to not be as juvenile. We are not looking to hack the box exactly just pull the DVD code. Soldering isn't an issue but we want to keep the boards as original as possible. Hope somebody has had a similar issue and if there is a post or a link you could supply then that would be great!

You apparently didn't read very much. You have to install a glitch chip to load xell, there is no other way. If you don't want to mod the console, you are out of luck, end of story.

They don't say if doing that will make the box banned on live or not. If that's the only way then so be it. What chip do you recommend? We thought that was the issue but were not sure. That will give us access to the nand?

We watched that video a while ago. It got us looking into the nand. Any info on Matrix NAND Programmer Modchip for Xbox 360 or shouldwe look into x360usb pro? Would rather use a usb device rather than soldering every box. Looking for a post on mod chips but if you know of one could you link it?

There's no solder-less sollution.
You'll have to solder every box.
X360usbpro can only communicate with dvd-drives.

Solder nand reader/writer like nand-x -> Dump nand -> create & write ecc to nand -> Solder modchip -> Get dvd-key -> flash back original nand -> remove modchip

Wish we could have got that info before we ordered the x360usb pro...got it today. have you got any input on the 48-Pin Solderless 360 Clip Universal TSOP NAND Flash Chip or XBOX 360 USB SPI JTAG Utility Bundle? It's more expensive but I wonder if it will work. http://www.vimygirlstore.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=35143&zenid=ar4ahepp21k7687579ccte9ho5

My buddy can solder but doesn't like unsoldering for fear of damaging components or existing solder points. What else would we need? Glitch chip and nand reader? Coolrunner has some that I've looked at but would like some feedback if we are going to have to solder the board. If you know about these products then please let me know what task they will complete. We only need to be able to read the DVD key from the nand, or wherever it comes from, cause we can write to the correct drive with jungle flasher. We are both disabled but my buddy can solder but as I said unsoldering is the issue if we have to put a chip on just to get the DVD key.

Thanks for all the help so far.

Looking into getting Xilinx XC2C64A CoolRunner-II CPLD RGH Dev Board (Reset Glitch Hack) and the XBOX 360 USB SPI JTAG Utility Bundle so we should be able to read the nand and load xell to get the DVD key? Is there a better, cheaper, route? My buddy thought modding a box was like modding a controller. No soldering CH's.

I wouldn't reccomend the nand clip. The soldered solution is much more reliable.
You'll have to solder the clpd modchip to the motherboard anyway, and the solder points for the nand flasher are easier/bigger than the ones for the modchip.

You should go for one of the pre-programmed modchips with an onboard switch for motherboard selection, like the 'Matrix glitcher II'. With the other chips you have to reprogram the chip for the different motherboard revisions.
Also, I don't think 'Matrix Glitcher II' supports Xenon motherboards, so if you plan to pull keys off Xenon's you'll need a separate modchip for that. Like TX Coolrunner II or similar.

the matrix II does support XENON but you have to reprogram it first.

Thanks, we got the Xilinx XC2C64A CoolRunner-II CPLD RGH Dev Board (Reset Glitch Hack) and the XBOX 360 USB SPI JTAG Utility Bundle in and are starting on the boxes now but cant find the files for the coolrunner. are they jed or XSVF files, are the jed the ones we need to program it for each MB? Crossing our fingers this combo will work. Has anyone used this programmer before?

Do we need to have the coolrunner installed or can we just use the SPI to pull the info off? Been getting errors trying to run Nandpro so we hope this does it.

Thanks

Running J-Runner but it reads
Version: 01

Flash Config: 0x00000000
Can not Continue
Can not continue

when we try to read the nand. From what I've read the SPI will work with it but no luck yet. We do not have the coolrunner installed but the posts said that that was if we wanted to RGH. Just looking to half-a$$ jtag to get the DVD key and this program looks like it's what we need. The box is plugged into the spi and the pc via spi. It's power is off but connected and the light on the spi is on. Could this be a soldering issue or software/driver problem?

That error was solder but now we get this error

Version v0.2 Beta (279) is available for download.
Checking Files
Finished Checking Files

Version: 01

Reading Nand to C:\Documents and Settings\user\Desktop\xbox\final software\J-Runner v02 (278) Core Pack\J-Runner v02 (278) Core Pack\output\nanddump2.bin
Initializing Nand..
Header is wrong..
Reading Nand
Error: 011 reading block 0 to 3FF

Could this be a soldering issue also?
http://team-xecuter.com/forums/showthread.php?t=89231
This post mentioned error 011 but had no fix. They said he may have nos soldered the new nand on correctlyy but we did not alter the nand chip.

Anyone have any ideas?

Just found this post also
http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:oniCQHGSbN4J:www.xbox360iso.com/x360pro-v4-dual-t592627.html%3Fp%3D4048004+jrunner+%22Error:+011+%22&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us
but it says that it's a possible mossfet but we didn't touch it either. We will resolder and try again but scans are taking over an hour each so it's taking a bit. It should only take a few minutes if it reads correctly using USB, right? We hope this is just a soldering issue. seems like we are running into all the issues possible...great experience!!!

no you need to RGH the consoles to get dvd key if you have lost them as you need the cpu key to decrypt the nand to reveal dvd key! spi is only used to get nand dump make sure you have the wires installed correctly

That's how we have it wired but it may still be bridging. We are resoldering the connections to see if this allows us to read the nand correctly. Does the coolrunner need to be connected to read the nand or can we wait until we have gotten a good dump of it? The resisters need to be instaalled after the nand is dumped, right? Then we can proceed to getting the key by connecting the cr chip and resistors?

We are stuck trying to program the cr chip. Can we use the usb jtag spi to flash it? There are posts that say yes and no so we hope somebody has a definite answer. If we need a jtag cable or a device like nand-x, please let us know.
