i had my 360 hdd die on me and now i want to upgrade to a 120gb hitachi hdd i have but all the programs i can find only work with westen digital drive can some please help

hddhackr only works with western digital drives, if you had read the readme you would have seen that.

is your hitachi hdd an official m$ one or just a standard 2.5" hdd?

if its just a standard drive theres no way you can make it into an xbox 360 hdd, unless you RGH your console.

Not true, I did several Hitachis.
All you need to do is get your HDD into vendor mode, try to power cycle it, with Hitachi it usually works.
After you get into vendor mode, proceed as if you were flashing a WD drive...
