Can I do this with the Lizard ?

I have a slim with a dead drive. I have the firmware backup and a new drive.

I have borrowed a lizard and unlocked the drive,

Am I able to flash the 0225 with the lizard using a firmware I manually created using JF ?

I cannot flash in JF as I have an incompatible sata set ?

Yes you can use the lizard, just use the lizard toolbox to upload the firmware.

Thanks for the info - however when I try to open the original dummy.bin in lizard tool box I get the error - OLD DUMMY NOT ALLOWED FOR THIS DRIVE PLEASE REDUMP YOUR DUMMY WITH THE LATEST GECKO ?

I've created a firmware via the lizard toolbox, copied it to the memory card in the lizard.

How do I flash it directly from the lizard without a PC ?

I have a via 5337 chipset and cannot get it into vendor mode, even if I put it into vendor mode with lizard and then connect to PC

Is the lizard configured for standalone matty?

If so, It should be;

Liteon-S menu
Enter MTK Mode
Write FW
Select 'Slot'

I believe it is in standalone mode.

I tried creating the firmware in lizard toolbox but it complains about the JF flash dump I have.

It won't let me open it.

I have tried manually editing a firmware, copying it to the lizard MC but its not visible.

I no longer have your number.

Now struggling to load it to a slot,

Is the Sync done over USB or COM ?
