I really screwed this one up. I have a 3200BEVT and wanted to put it back to stock and for some stupid reason I loaded a 2500bevt bin onto it and now it is an unknown drive. HDDHackr sees a drive with no info or serial. When I try to do a restore now I get an error DRQ error: 0x816. Anyway I can get back into this drive?

Now that the drive is done, can I buy a new logic board for it? Or is the drive and the logic board done?

Usually there's variations in the logic boards that will prevent it from working at all or at least well with the "wrong" drive.

Your drive is far from done, but you need software that is not freely available and generally expensive. And yes logic board would fix your problem, but you'll need yet again closed and expensive software. Try this program (its a trial version), but it does have a pretty nice functions. For more info go to hddguru and the guys there may help you out restore your drive.
