IDA Pro help purdy please :)

Hey Guys,

Well first off yes I am a n00b with regards to the specifics of this request , the help I require is part of a larger project unrelated to assembly language, this part is simply an interesting section of the paper that I wish to personally expand on.

I am using IDA Pro 5.5 combines with the Hitmen MN103 Module, I have disassembled iXtreme 1.51 and wish to know if there is a method to decipher the text accompanying the Hex, I realise there probably is and I was following the old "DVD Firmware Hacking" thread until I reached the last page and had nowhere else to go as it had been archived.

Anyone willing to explain how to decipher the text? or point me in the right direction?
