i was told to come over here and ask this by a guy on another forum
so i'd like to know if this would work..>>
Dual Nand NO trace cuts method
to start
i tried google and couldnt find a no trace method well i stumbled across one but upon reading it turns out that his method could potentially permanaently damage the Original NAND so i searched some more (maybe 10 hours) then i decided to findout the datasheet for the NAND (HY27US08281A) and a pinout of 360 pin headers and ports to find a way of powering the 2nd NAND and i came up with this...>>>
so following the nandwich method
found here
http://www.consoleopen.com/forum/tut...hack-live.html one nand is soldered on top of the other
and there is a switch controlling the CE pin and a trace needs to be cut
well in this method the top nand(NAND2 from now on) takes power through the pins of the original nand (NAND1 from now on)
well i thought about connecting NAND2 CE pin (Pin 9) to NAND1 CE pin
and liftingg the VCC(Pin 12) and VSS(Pin13) of NAND2 so they do not connect to NAND1
Instead
VCC on NAND2 takes power from J1D2 Pin 2or4
VSS on NAND2 takes power from J1D2 Pin 6or7
and have a DPDT switch

switch left = NAND1 (Stock) on
Switch Right = NAND2 (RGH) on and NAND1 off
now would i need 10k ohm resistors coming from any J1D2 Lines?
and what do you think?
i thought J1D2 was the easiest place to get a seperate +3.3v and GND from
i don't think it really matters where the 3.3v and gnd come from really
