I have installed the dual nand & RGH (Coolrunner) in my Slim, currently the RGH nand is at 14717 and the Retail nand is on 14699. How would I go about updating the retail side to 14719 so I can access Xbox Live? Are there any additional hardware modifications I will have to make to get 14719 running?

I did the nandwitch hack with a DPDT switch to toggle between Retail/RGH

If I dump the current retail nand over spi, do I make the 14719 retail dashboard using 360 multi builder or similar, change the LDV value and write this image back over spi. Just need some clarity on the procedure as I'd rather not brick the Xbox

I pretty much just answered my own question here, for anybody who needs to know I updated the retail via Xbox Live with the Coolrunner set to PRG. I soldered the spi flasher and dumped the 14719 retail nand (LDV had changed) and used J-runner to compile the RGH image and flashed via Xell/USB.

1: you need to do is to switch the your original nand macking sure you reset the southbridge you can check this by the mac address
2: update you xbox 360 thru ms update to the lates dash 14719 no need to change the LVD for now
3: now dump you nand twice compare it. use xebuild to create your glichboot having you cpu remeber to change the kv and mac address
4: switch to you secound nand make sure southbridge is reset of course
5: power you xbox thru eject into xell ofcouse if you have rgh 1.1 do not use raw flash thru rgh 1.0 using nand.bin and the elf. file
6: insert your usb with your new nand and done

now if you already updated then power you xell count the ffs on 7 and 8 and when your preparing the image change the ldv to what ever is you console . if you only update one then its ldv +1
u can use flash tool or xebuild or jrunner to update your LDV
 hope this help
always remeber to reset your southbridge before going online

Offtopic question:

I was thinking of buying a dualnand reset glitch chip for my slim which is currently on Live with 14719.
Then connect a FAT32 formatted disk for storing homebrew like Snes360 (Hdd:\Emus)
I don't MS will ban me for having homebrew on a FAT32 usb disk since the original nand doesn't care about it (it will only look for videos, music and pictures).
But if I use one offline profile for my homebrew and one online profile for Live will I be safe?
Because some homebrew will make crazy achievements like Snes360 for example.
I can of course format a second usb device for use as memory storage and use that for my offline (homebrew) profile but that defeats the purpose of having a dualboot setup because I always have to insert it for running homebrew and take it out when I go on Live.
So do you guys think MS can take a sneak peak at the other profiles I have when I go on Live?

The police protected you and there were courts of law.
And you didn't need a friend like me.
But, uh, now you come to me, and you say: "Don Corleone, give me justice."
But you don't ask with respect.
You don't offer friendship.
You don't even think to call me Godfather.
Instead, you come into my house on the day my daughter is to be married, and you ask me to do murder for money.

YOU NEED TO MAKE A SWITCH
THIS IS HOW I HAVE MINES

sorry for the caps

hack nandchip
1 500 GB HD Enable
2 Glitch Chip Enable
3 Hack LED enable

ORIGINAL nandchip

1 500 GB HD Disable
2 Glitch chip Disable
3 hack Led Off

the switch you will need is a 4PDT and it will do the following
1 reset the SB every time you hit the switch
2 Activate and deactivate the HDD
3 Activate and Deactivate the glitch chip
4 swich between nands
