Does anyone have a clue whats the fastest way to tranfer files to xbox internal HDD?
Like:
  • What software... Party buffalo?
    What interface... Sata?
    Just plain FTP/Samba

I have 750gb WD Black 7200RPM
Right now it seems that im totaly limited to the software speed. And its about write: 5-10mb/s and double for read speeds

For me, FTPing to a Sata drive can only go 10MB/s. As the xbox 360 network card can only go 100mbps which I figure 10MB/s.

same for me, it's actually pretty good speed, unless you want to read/write the whole 750Gb drive.

Fastest way seems to be via USB. Copy files to external USB 60+mb/s and use fsd filemanager to copy from ext to int at speeds allmost ~20mb/s (did not calculate this... Just plain 10sec observation)
can anyone confirm?

FTP speeds are quite bad... Too many small files.

I use ftp, speed is very close to 12mb/s. Copying to and from external USB is not faster.

fastest way to copy is connection the xbox hd to the pc and using xplorer for 750 gb or 500gb but for each size hard drvie you need a edited hex for the xplorer program but you copy 200 gig in 2o min thru ftp it will take hours
if your tranfering on game of 7.5 gb is ok to wait for 13 minutes or so but if it 40 games . you get the point
connect your xbox 360 hdd to the pc via sata use the xplorer to browse for content just never click on partition 2 you mave have data curruption if you do so
just click on the partition 3 were your games and content are
