Hi all,
Im having a really difficult time with this 16mb Jasper.
Ive done almost 50 RGH consoles and never had an issue like this
Basically the console will glitch usually under 10 seconds but will freeze anywhere from the xbox logo boot screen up to maybe 3-5 mins. and will even freeze in Xell.
Ive rebuilt the image many times with multiple programs and same issue.
Ive tried 3 different Matrix Glitcher V2 chips and a Coolrunner same issue.
I rewired the console used all new wires every time, Ive insulated all the wires tried Alt. points, played with different wires lengths and thicknesses making sure none of the wires are ever close to the coils or anything that they shouldnt be to cause interference.
Also tried adding caps to multiple points with no luck
Flashed back to the original NAND and it works fine

pll bypass you appear to almost be shorting with another point. Try attaching to the resistor right below

Couldn't find any thicker wire for pic#2, couldcha? And then only 1/10th of it is soldered. Your other joints look nasty too. I'm not usually one for making fun of other people's soldering but dude... train a little. And ffs don't sell stuff like that!

Not saying that's necessarily your problem, but clean that $#!t up man, it won't hurt. And stop twisting wires, and using ones that are 5x as thick as needed. The blue cables are definitely thick enough.

Like I said the thicker wire was only to test its been rewired about 5 time the pics are from a quick install with a different chip to see if the chip was at fault
the wire has some of the wire threads cut so it wouldn't pull up the point
Not saying was going to leave the install how it was just was done quickly for testing

Either way all the points are not shorting any other points I've checked with a multimeter numerous times but ill rewire those points and post some pics

And don't need to train with soldering lol go look up some of the wii repairs and 30 wire IC installs I've done

went back to the original chip and original size wiring also double checked all points with a multimeter for continuity to the next point and no bridging with adjacent points.

so without keep questions the solder points does anyone have any ideas

Place the wire as the picture shows. Size 30cm. Then he says if it worked without freezing

i've come across a couple of fickle jaspers that demonstrate similar issue: in my humble and not completely informed opinion, it's due to interference on cpu-rst.

before i could get my hands on rg174, i created my own insulation by folding a piece of aluminum foil 4 times, covering it completely it electrical tape, then folding that around cpurst on the entire length of the wire (i've done this on the bottom of the motherboard).  freezing has disappeared.

that said, i will be testing rg174, run along the edge of the motherboard (topside), sometime this week.

Friend boflc as I also said I'm pretty sure it's interference in CPU_RESET.

Please see how is my installation of wires and if possible try to imitate it. Leave the wires separated from each other near the IC glitch (Glitch chip). I await response.

note: the plate by interference always picked up so far the use CPU_RESET above the board. It works perfectly.
