 I'm a nood so B gentle.Is it possible to dump & flash the firmware for the 360 hd/dvd add on without removing the chip.I have searched the net & looked through first 20 posts in this section.I have one i got in with a trade.I seen a utube vid about it but no good links.THANKS.....

 Wanting to flash it to rip my games to hdd. I got to mod it to connect to my via 6421 sata card,if you have any ideas on that too. THANKS.....

 Here is the youtube link where he is using looks like a 360 hd/dvd add on for game ripping. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wn9ujbG8Nws..I read some old pages where Geremia & others hacked the firmware.They said had to remove the firmware chip to flash.I'm hoping someone found a easy way by now.My soldering skills R not too bad but desoldering i have problems..THANKS....

In that link; they have put a normal 360 ODD (|| insert other ODD that can read 360 disks) into the HDDVD enclosure (replacing the HDDVD ODD) - there is no magic here.

The HDDVD ODD drive doesn't even read 360 disks - let alone let you rip them to PC.

damox,I see what U mean.i watched that vid close.xbox backup showed it as pbds vad6038 so that must be a BenQ.THANKS....
