I'm a nood so B gentle.Is it possible to dump & flash the firmware for the 360 hd/dvd add on without removing the chip.I have searched the net & looked through first 20 posts in this section.I have one i got in with a trade.I seen a utube vid about it but no good links.THANKS.....

Wanting to flash it to rip my games to hdd. I got to mod it to connect to my via 6421 sata card,if you have any ideas on that too. THANKS.....

read some old pages where Geremia & others hacked the firmware.They said had to remove the firmware chip to flash.I'm hoping someone found a easy way by now.My soldering skills R not too bad but desoldering i have problems..THANKS....

In that link; they have put a normal 360 ODD (|| insert other ODD that can read 360 disks) into the HDDVD enclosure (replacing the HDDVD ODD) - there is no magic here.
The HDDVD ODD drive doesn't even read 360 disks - let alone let you rip them to PC.

damox,I see what U mean.i watched that vid close.xbox backup showed it as pbds vad6038 so that must be a BenQ.THANKS....
