0059 to 0047 on new update

I have been brought an xbox which they have attempted to update to the new dash with a spoofed dvd drive. It is a samsung drive spoofed as a 0047 hitachi drive.

I thought no problems and ordered a 0047 drive. It came today and they sent the wrong one!!! They sent a 0059 hitachi drive. I presume the update will still fail (E66 Error) using the 0059 spoofed as a 0047?

Is there any way to flash the 0059 to make it a 0047? Any help would be greatly appreciated as he is desperate for it for his kids for christmas

why would a console that old have an osig? did you try flashing the sammy to stock and re-running the update?

I just tried that. No E66 error but instead it is stuck at a screen saying it cannot find the update on the disc. and an error code.
I am using the new cod and forza originals and it comes the same each time?

Cannot get to dash to clear cache/delete update. Also tried holding sync when booting up but no luck

you need to know what update version failed and use that exact version on disc.

Any way of finding that out from the error code?

Also if I was to read the NAND could I flash it back under a previous dash board version or alter it to stop the error happening as I am planning to RGH it anyway

if you are rgh'ing the console then this whole conversation is moot. all you need is kv, config, and cpukey. just read it and make your xell image.

Facts:

- Any console with HDMI port will have OSIG and hashed keyvault

- There's no Zephyr with 0047 drives. That drive is Xenon only AFAIK.

- Xenon does not glitch.

- Most Xenons with OSIG do not have hashed keyvaults but it doesn't glitch anyway ...

Not that it matters anymore, as JTAG and Glitch can't go online on XBL.

at best u will find a hitchi 78-79 in a zephyr but not a 47 as l_oliveira stated! are u sure it hdmi m8   in my option ur xbox is for the bin as theres no way of fixing it now as the xbox doesnt no wat drive it needs

Maybe Xenons will be glitchable in future with new x360Glitchip that does not need HANA to launch the hack?... AFAIK it is the only thing why Xenons was not glitchable after RGH was released.
