In an effort to install a cynos in my slim I accidentally pulled the R2T1 trace on the motherboard underneath the southbridge (this trace gets wired to the R/B pin on the cygnos) and now my xbox won't turn on. I'm trying to determine if this broken trace is what's preventing the xbox from booting. My guess is that because the fans won't spin or anything that the southbridge can't pullup the nand due to the broken trace and therefore the nand can't be read.

Does anyone know the function of the R2T1 trace and if this may be the cause of my problems?

Figured it out. Guessed R/B would be a point on the southbridge and sure enough it was.

It's also a pin on the NAND



Tried a couple quick bridges tonight but no luck. Ended up bridging the r/b and re pins on the nand with solder accidentally, so tomorrow I'll get out my soldering braid and hopefully get things up and running.

P.S. I'd still like to know what the function of the R/B pin is.

R/B is a part of the standard Flash interface.  It is Ready/Busyb.  It is an output that signals the status of the memory command interface.  Keep in mind Flash memories have their own little state machines inside, you send them commands and they execute them.  The pin is used to indicate the state machine is ready for the next command.

ok i messed something up and pulled of the r2t1 resistor... DAMN! Can somebody tell me witch value it has? So im able to replace it ... Angry Angry Angry Angry

ok i found it! The resistor has a value of 1k... I fixed the damaged trace!

Edit: the console boots into dashboard and xell! I first thought everything is fine. But i'm not able to read/write the nand anymore... i think theres something wrong with the rb trace?

can someone with a trinity board please check the value of the resistor? Its defnetly wrong ... I tried a few and everytime the Flash Config is another one ... need help Wink

Edit: Ok it is a 1k resistor xD i think it has something to do with the length of the wire. i shortened it a bit and now there are no reading or writing issues... The only thing that is crazy is that the flash config is 0x0002300 so that nandpro cant read the nand. JRunner is able to read it! I've no idear why!
