Hi guys, i got xbox slim 250Gb version MFR: 2010-11
problem is that it won't turn on. It only beeps and psu light stays orange.
Xbox is virgin, no hacks done. I checked it with another PSU, it didn't help.

Took motherboard out but as long as i see there is no problems for my eye to see. no burned traces, ic's.
Please help me with this.

I've same problem here, only beeps. I can read my NAND still. First I thought it was one broken cap, but it turned out to be working ok. Then removed CygnosV2 and Coolrunner, didn't help. I have few broken solder pads/traces in the secondary NAND solder points, that might be the cause of problems for me.

There has been cases where USB pins have been bent and causing a short circuit. That might be worth checking.

edit: Never mind. I just heard that it would cause red light in the power brick. Someone correct me if this is wrong info.

I have a Slim showing the exact same behavior.  It was working perfectly, then it would boot long enough to glitch before turning itself off.

Now it won't even start, it just makes the "bing" sound, but no fans or lights.

Edit:  I just figured it out.  I had a bad resistor - the one that is between the hana and the clock wire for the RGH board.  It must have had a terminal separate while soldeing.  I put on a replacement (33 ohms) and it worked fine again.

Which resistor? can you put up a pic of what you did and where on the MOBO you did the repair?

-thanks

It was the resistor right next to the soldering point for the clock signal (the one by the HANA, orange wire if you're using a coolrunner kit).

I am a repair tech for a company and I have a bone stock 4GB slim with no mods that justs beeps and thats it...no lights, fans, or drive power up. I just get a beep when the eject or power button are touched. The PSU stays orange. USB ports and all others are good. The CPU/GPU, SB, and HANA have all been reflowed. I just can not figure this one out....any idea's or help guys?

Check that resistor I mentioned (R3B15, near the HANA).

I just checked them all on all sides and R4B14 has full continuity and only .5 ohms of resistance...I think this is my bad one...sound about right?

does anyone know what the correct resistance is for each resistor around the HANA chip so I have something to compare my measurements to?

-Thanks

R2B2 and R2B4 are giving me a reading of 0 ohms of resistance....I will also try replacing these.

I have a slim which is the exact same

http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=17705.msg133467#msg133467

console completely unmodified, seals intact.

chimes for power and eject buttons but no lights or fan

seems to be a common issue, i have read that it can also be down to a bad ROL board

i am going to swao mine out to see if it has any effect.
