hi

if you are not gonna do a dual nand on this falcon  , then do the RGH 1 , after you console is gitch , just update your glitch nand to 14719 , your CB are not gonna require RGH2 this way , better booting time , an lot less hasshel Wink

The problem is Im having problem when upgrading from 13604 freeboot to 14699/14719 freeboot nand.
It freeze when signing in and gives black screen when running games/.xex

I down to that maybe its because im still on CB5771 when upgrading, and therefore it wouldn't glitch.

I have tried building image with 360 multi builder, J-Runner, Xebuild GUI and Non-gui... same issue with all images :-(

Is it possible to use the X360glitch chip for RGH 2.0 - and how?

Several people here have done it, so yes it's possible.  I would start a few pages back and read Tired's posts and mine, it should be all there.

Basically I would suggest

1. if you have the fat version remove the 3 caps (can remember their ids) and jumper the slim and fat jumpers

2. if you have the slim add the resistor and cap and jump the slim and fat jumpers

3. program the chip with TX RGH 2.0 code (I used the Super Nand Programer)

4. install chip using TX diagram (I listed the pin out a page back)

5. Flash xbox nand with xell

6. get CPU key

7. Reflash nand with RGH 2.0 file (I used Jrunner to dump, flash and make my files)

8. Boot unsigned code.

This is an over simplification, but it should point you in the right direction.
I used this procedure to RGH 2.0 a Falcon XBOX 360.  Boot times vary, but it usually works!

jumper slim and fat. this chip does not have any jumpers Cheesy you probably mean bridge.. I think you only have to bridge slim point for rgh2.

so any luck with RGH2 on other chips ? is it really necasary to do that modification on x360glitch ? ( I can ofcourse do the modification but I don't have any x360glitch chips right now.. I do have another chp but ofcourse don't know what to modificate.. I finally can try RGH2.. I got my hands on a Falcon with latest dash.
I tryed RGH2 before on a Zephyr but did not work..with Falcon I have high hopes.  Cheesy

I believe you can use any modchip that uses an Xilinx Chip.

i've done RGH2.0 using x360glitch programmed with falconrgh2.xfsv
booting times are <1min when i use 40cm generic copper cable from ATX power supply :/ (also tried coiled composite video cable)
x360glitch config
R3 bridged ,Slim point (next to C5) bridged , absent of D1A-D3A diodes and C1B .Added LED for diagnostic

but console freezing in dash (usually after 1-2min) It just stops responding regardless of FSD or NXE dash
I already do rewiring whole chip ,reprogrammed nand to Dash Launch 3.01 and 2.32 , reprogrammed to XT Fusion 1.07 .Its still the same so its problem with x360glitch.
.but hey Ive got  no problem with Xell ! Also there is no problem with stock firmware...
Any suggestions  Huh
--------------------------
Update 03.06
CPU is unstable on my falcon every time after glitch .I cannot add additional capacitors as It wont glitch.
I think RGH2.0 is glitchy glitch hack Wink and will try again with new coolrunner (ver.2 when released )

its the chip! on a Jasper I have to bridge slim point to to get it working.. so there are different badges from this chip.. some work like they supposed to, bridge fat point and some you have to bridge slim point..

i just did a rgh2 install on a falcon. i converted a fat chip for this by removing the diodes, r1a, c1a, and r2a. also dont add the cap to c1b, i thought i needed to and it wouldnt glitch at all. removed the cap and glitches within 30 seconds, usually around 10 sec though. not bad IMO for a $10 chip.

connections:

j1- gnd
j2- pwr
j3- hana clk
j4b- scl
j5b- sda
j6- cpu rst
j9- post out

I'm confused, my virgin slim has 14719 dash.  Can I still do RGH1, or must I use RGH2?

So if RGH2, does it mean using nandpro to reprogram my x360glitch with xecuter's xsvf files?

Slim always used rgh2 so no you do not have to reprogram the x360giltch chip.

Its the supid way for xecuter to name their $#!t.
If your using their jRunner then you HAVE to select RGH1 for Trinity

Thanks guys, ok Slims are RGH1 and hasn't changed since.  Only problem now is no glitching.

My Setup:
Trinity Slim on 14699, did the x360glitch the standard way using kynar awg30 wire with cpu_reset wire at 50cm.  Tried ecc from autogg 0.61 and 360_Multi_Builder.  I got front led flashing green, very faint tick sound every 5 secs from fan....but no glitch.

Reading though the whole thread, I see this suggestions:

1. Play with cpu-reset wire length.
2. Use top side alternate cpu reset point  R4D4, loop wire above.
3. Switch from Stdby 3.3v to regular 3.3v
4. Add 10ohm resistor
5. Change 220uf to 270uf cap
6. Use shielded wire for reset wire

Did I miss any?  Gosh! Glitching is like voodoo magic.  Which one should I start with first, I reckon reset cable length?

make sure you bridge the slim point on the chip on the left, if you did and not glitching just cut the cpu rst wire from 50 to 40 or 30 cm until you have a glitch..

Yes, I've bridged the point under C5, otherwise won't be able to program the trinity1.1.xsvf file.

So far have cut down the cpu-rst length to 38cm... still no glitch.

Also put in a led on debug pin 27... now I can see a quick blink every 5 secs.  Is this normal?

And I realized if dvd drive is plugged in, the slim front led instead of flashing, will stay on a steady green.   Funnily I still can eject and close the tray, how is that possible?

Any more tips for a first timer glitcher while I continue to shorten the reset wire?

UPDATE:
Still no glitch, but after further shortening the RST wire, the debug LED from pin 27 is now flashing ON longer at 1 sec.  Before this the debug LED will only do a very fast blink.  Cycle is still at 5 sec.  Hope this is a good sign of things to come.
