Found a new glitch chip at http://x360glitch.com/, seems to come in 3 version, slim one cheapest at only $9.81. Still uses a xilinx but board layout looks different. Has anyone tested it yet?

Not to be a TX fan, I hate some of their sh*tty products. But the TX Coolrunner is the only chip that have a switch for phats or slims. In which pleases the people with dvd key recovery.

You are right; for the purpose of dvd recovery, if it works on all 360, that will be a good reusable chip. Still I think most glitch chips will be going into slims as a permanent install.
TX is still using a xilinx right? Looking forward to their launch and comparisons especially with the Squirt chip which sounds most promising so far with claims of fast speed on a different chip Actel.

The price for the Brazilian x360glitch is good. I bought and waiting to arrive. I hope you do not have the same problem that we have some matrix Glitcher slims (report of users).

well looking at the pics of both the fat and slim glitch pcbs the fat x360glitch has all the parts for slim and fat on the board so could be used for both selecting the right jumper
the slim pcb has the 3x 1n4148 plus 1k 22k and 100nf missing off the board witch is why its cheaper. i just bought one of these so ill just solder the missing parts to the pads for fat/slim...

TX shows theyve done some R&D on the chip itself (7th revision now?).

Used it, it's ok, the slim one if used for fat, needs R1 10K instead of 1K (if everything is done ok but it won't glitch).

It seems like a LARGE batch of Matrix glitcher chips were sold with faulty CPLD chip ... And I have one of them here The VCC and VIO were shorted so I would get 3.3v on both sides of the voltage regulator. Also the chip would not appear on the boundary scan chain (JTAG programming) ...

Hopefully the bad chips are not in the X360Glitch.
Which pins can I test? When you said VIO, is it actually VccIO or VccAUX?

they dont mention having to program them neither. the "install guide" just says wire it up and turn it on. though, they do include a pin header with the chip for the jtag ports. ill just solder it up and find out for myself. lol.

but install guide says xilinx lab tools see the last page... further more for the fat slim chip it wouldn't have the capacity to hold two jed files,

at last i was able to find how to program this chip it is as simple as making yourself gligli lpt and hook up the 3.3v and gnd at j2 and j1 respectively ... to my surprise its pre programmed already now the only problem is when i try to boot the console with the chip installed it flashes 0022 if i remove the cpu_pll_bypass wire or if i desolder the r3 bridge it boots fine can anyone help me with that ... furthermore i have a perfect wiring got a trace damaged at post_out1 and i use the alternative wiring as shown in the thread http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=17051.0

Mosses if you use the reset glitch on a zephyr then 0022 is normal. Just flash xell reloaded and grab your cpu key.
