This was was initially a thread to help me out fixing a client's Jasper with several burned pads.

I had a E74 Falcon gathering dust in my closet so i decided to use it to make this little guide on how to fix what i think it will be the most problematic points on the PHAT motherboards.

If you remember the Lite-on MRA you know that as soon as the reset glitch gets more popular (probably when the next hacked dash gets released), a whole lot of people who never used a soldering iron before will try themselves and they WILL FAIL MISERABLY!

So i just purposely Fuc#$@ the problematic points so i could fix them and create this guide.

I will be doing a slim console soon

So i hope you guys appreciate as this took me a few hours to create :p

FIRST THINGS FIRST:

- Here are some tools that i used and greatly helped me with these fixes:

- Multimeter (to check the traces)

-  A fiberglass pen to scrap the traces (you can use an Exacto knife too, but i prefer the pen)

- This head magnifier is perfect for these kind of jobs

And here goes the guide (the pictures should be self explanatory

ALTERNATIVE POINT THANKS TO KIPPER2K (FT2R2 - Grey wire)

Or if you really want to...

SLIM problematic points coming soon!

IF Anyone knows any ALT points to those posted, please post so i can take some pics and update this thread

FT6U7 has no pad anymore.
The resistor should work for the CPU_PLL point, but you may have to hook it up to the trace remains on the other end too for it to work.
Either way, the idiot who did that soldering should be punched in the face.

As i said, this is just the beginning... Remember this thread?

http://www.xboxhacker.org/index.php?topic=14040.0

I would not be surprised is this turns out to be the thread to fix REG screw ups....

I just didnt quite get the

"but you may have to hook it up to the trace remains on the other end"

You are referring to the HANA point right? Cause CPU_PLL i think using just the resistor (the red square on the pic) should be enough..... will open another jasper in a few hours to confirm with a multimeter

The client will ship the console to me tomorrow so i will only be able to post pics of the job in a few days

I was able to boot xell and get the cpu key using a needle on damaged cpu_ppl_bypass!!!

But but no success to keep it running using that point!!!! I'm still looking for an alternative point.

Lets try technical support thread!

I have a E74 falcon jtagged on my closet that is just accumulating dust (already got it reballed but now its just trash)

Will purposely destroy all the main pads so i can create a how to fix for the coming n00bs that FOR SURE will screw those motherboards

@Arakon

May this thread be used or you prefer a new thread on the technical support area?

You should have told them that you took the cap and resistors off to scrape the via's enamel away with a xacto knife. And that way you could use a multimeter to find where those connections go to. Sometimes people do stuff that is automatic to them and doesn't know that the reader doesn't understand because they lack the experience. lol There's just too many kids doing jtags/glitch nowadays.

It looks to me like the caps and resistors were not replaced before you hot-glued it all together.  Are the caps and resistors not required?

I have a problem with my slim, A lot of solder fell off my iron and I lost these resistors: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/11/unledclv.png/ Can I just replace these with 30 ohms? also I lost the pad for C3B10, can I just scrape the trace further down and solder to the point next to it?

I seriously doubt those are 30 ohms.

Yes you can scrap the trace to connect the cap, but those resistor, cant you measure the ones that are intact so you can make sure their value?

EDITED:

I measured from a falcon and the ones from the left are 50ohms and those on the right 34omhs

can someone confirm?

The 360 won't turn on now, so I have no way of measuring them.
