From a particular idiot I know, I have obtained an xbox360 slim. He was hotswapping disks and somehow managed to get a penny dropped on the pcb while it was powered up. Long story short, drive does nothing, anyone know the chances are of there being any way to get the info off this thing?

If that gamerscore or tenth prestige is so important to you that you absolutely need a pointless number - get it legit If you are just trying to show off - throw a party(real party, not nerd party, some of you would miss that point) If you like to be a fagot and go by "Jtags are for Mw2" - GTFO

Hello, you could get-back your DVD key using the new hack reset glitch from the motherboard, after that buy a replacement PCB of team xecuter to get your drive back ! Good luck

I was already planning to do the glitch hack, but I think with liteons that you need more than just the key(challenge/response stuff)

try removing the MT chip and puttingit onto a working board may be able to read the fw off it suing new PCB
seen it done on phat liteons that had board fried but not on a slim drive but should be same principle

About the glitch hack, I think the freeboot dash might come scraped of a few things including real time checks or maybe the devs can work on a "clean" or "template" nand you could just use any drive/key... Since this will be an offline unit. What do you guys think ? I think this will be the only solution for those dead 0225 with spoofed trimmed drives.

When the xell is loaded, you'll see your CPU & DVD key, after that you could removre the glitch reset wires & start the 360 you need a PCB replacement like the team xecuter one's

Let's just hope they take it under consideration (if possible) when developing some sort of freeboot for the slim-glitch only the key does it, like for instance the HDDs that the traditional JTAGS run any make, model and size available, no flashing HDDS.bin limiting size to 250gb... Ooops now it's 320gb - Limited Edition GOW 3 is out today... Time to get a hold of a 320gb to dump the bin...

its already out in the wild....
as for the DVD oig info, with any luck it will be patched out, but for anyone wishing to revert their console back to retail for live etc they may be out of luck.
i have not studied any slim nands to see if the missing data can be got from it, it must be there or else what is the console looking for?
perhaps one of the more skilled coders can shed some light on if we can ressurect these boxes that had 74850 drive butchered into them.
