I have tried several site to resolve this issue. Well last night I just about gave up on it, so I just put in Final Fantasy XIII and Viola, it updated. Game is working and now I have the most current update available. But I would like to thank those that posted on a resolution. THanks Guys

The real solution does not come from random voodoo, you know?

There's some information on the error screens that is important:

PV: xxxx  CV: xxxxx
Previous Version and Current Version, which tell what version were being updated from and which version it was being updated to.

Also on newer dashboards we have these errors in this format:

XXXX-YYYY-ZZZZ-ZZZZ-DDDD-DDDD

Where XXXX is PV in HEXADECIMAL and YYYY is CV.

For example this one:

3151-351f-1680-0c1c-C000-0032

The person was updating from 3151 (12625) to 351F (13599) and it stuck in the middle. The other two values are status and specific error code. I don't know the exact meaning for them, but at least knowing how to read the error code saves the guess work of which update to try.

I understand. the code was
PV:2.0.5807.0 CV:2.0.8655.0

I tried all the tricks that I saw posted, holding the sync button while powering up, using a usb iwth the previous update on it, even burned it to a cd and tried that, none of it worked, so then I just put in the Final Fantasy disc powered it up and it updated. Trust me I tried about 20 games before that one, then I just decided to try only the games I have from 2009 (preferably the ones later in the year around the time of the update). Hey it worked, my game is back up and I am happy

And you just lost the chance of making it into a JTAG ...  Grin
